Why the fuck Charlie killed himself!? He could have escaped through the hole- it was big enough. He could even close the door AFTER he got out of the room at first place- there was enough time. This is driving me crazy.

I think that's what they want from us. To drive us crazy. This is why we watch Lost, cause every episodes answers some of our question but in the process makes new riddles.

The reason is because he wanted Claire and the others to be rescued. Desmond told him that this is how it happened - he died in the flood and everyone was saved (or at least, that's what he assumed from the flashes). If they tried to alter this timeline it might not have panned out the same way (Desmond alludes to this explicitly in past episodes). Charlie was destined to die according to Desmond and I guess the idea is that he'd accepted that fate and decided to be a hero and not a coward (which was one of the long running threads of his character arc). Maybe the point is that he sacrificed himself (and that the actor wasn't really interested in continuing on the show ).

I think he wanted to die, he was sick of having to avoid death at evey turn and wanted to go out doing something truely heroic.
The jamming device only stops transmissions from being broadcast, it doesn't make the island invisible. I think what makes it so hard to find is that it's one giant electromagnetic anomaly. The Dharma initiation video says something to this effect when briefing the new employees, as seen in Bens flashback episode.

He has a reason to stick around, remember he is dating Kate.

Yep, otherwise I think Desmond would have just opened it.
Plus water was flowing in from the window.

Even so, he could have escaped with Desmond. He didn't want to.

You have no evidence it was Ben. I seriously doubt it would have been any of The Others, they would probably fight to the death to stay on the island.
Maybe it was Juliet?

it was ben man. more than obvious. Kate has no love whatsoever for ben so why would she go to the funeral, whereas jack is all stressed out and in love with the island now so who better to be in the coffin than the man he once hated but now loves just as much as the island because he was right all along. the island is like some drug or something. it gets you hooked.
so its ben in the coffin.

Kate wasn't hooked, she seemed fine in his flashback. If all of The Others got off the island why wouldn't any of them be at his funeral?
Your whole argument is based on conjecture, and weak conjecture at that. It would be funny if it is Sawyer, just to show who the real mental midget in this thread is.

i never said she was hooked did i. im speaking in general terms
and oh i dunno maybe they didnt go to the funeral because he did nothing but lie to them and they said fuck him? cmon man use your head its sooooo obvious that its ben in the coffin. no one gives a fuck about him they just follow him because hes the "leader" and takes orders from jacob. but theyre so ignorant to question orders ( for instance the ppl in the looking glass) they just do what he says. ppl get tired of that kinda shit especially if they find out that theyve been being lied to. so of course naturally no one would show up to his funeral but jack who is now for some reason obsessed with the island would basically be in love with ben for the simple reason that he was right all along.

LOL, they could have made the coffin extra large just to fool people into thinking that.

I first thought it was the woman from the car crash that was lying in the coffin?
But honestly it could be anybody that either:
a) has no relatives
b) has no one that wishes to pay their respects
Also I am wondering how those flash forwards work. Unlike the flashbacks, the characters don't see them. Could it be THE future, or a POSSIBLE future?

I don't think that it's THE future because it's way to grim to be set in stone. I think that it's either the future Locke saw and it's not going to happen (hence him saying "you're not supposed to do that" to jack) or one of Desmond's visions.

Reckon it was Desmond who died actually.
It's not:
a) Sawyer (He is the one waiting for Kate)
b) Ben (He'd rather die than leave the island)
c) Locke (ditto)
Only thing that takes it away from it being Des is that Penny probably would've attended, something could've happened between them by then though.

Ok I'm not getting into the "amfg what could happen next"-hysteria here.
1. The season really got better at the end (I watched 6 eps in a row just to get to the finale tonight).
2. From what I've heard there will be "only" 16eps per season to keep it more focused.
3. I also heard (or read, maybe here) that they will keep making money on this shit until 2010.
4. That is too fucking long.
5. Of course Charlie sacrificed himself to save the kid and the hot chick. Perhaps he felt he did something important in his life for once. Something that really made a difference.
Behold his GLORY! Bow for the technical master!

2. Yes, 16 episodes per season from now on.. (no more mid season breaks)
3. Yes, they will stop Lost in 2010. It has been confirmed that the show will run for that length.
4. well... i don't think so.. but then again, i mostly enjoy wathcing the show..
BATMAN: What weighs six ounces, sits in a tree and is very dangerous?
ROBIN: A sparrow with a machine gun!
