DX10 does not and never will work with XP.
Halo2 does not use DX10, but it is Vista only. |

Game doesn't use DX10 and it's Vista only unless that requirement can be modified or hacked via the installer or whatever it is that checks the OS.

Vista isn't actually as bas ppl say...I haven't encountered any serious problems and only few game and program incompabilities.

Thats due to the drivers. If you have lastest drivers performance is almost equal to XP now.

Vista is just SuperXP. with bits of kryptonite all over. (shit drivers, DRM, unnecessary resources being used et etc)

same here... Vista runs pretty fine... and the performance is getting better and better...
theres only a difference of about 100 points in 3DMark '06 left...

This game also dosen't have support for cross-platform (you can't play vs Xbox players). And if you pay the 50$ a year windows live gold, you get an extra (I think it's something that optimizes connection for online play)... so basically MS is screwing people over like they do on some Xbox games (ie., you get more shit if you pay for Gold)...
I truely hope windows live fails miserably.
