Horse riding is messy, but someone already wrote that it's kinda realistic; horse tries to find it's path through trees on its own; can't climb steep mountains with someone on top; slow reaction times (it's not a car, it's a living being). - just walk around on foot, I do it all the time, easier to kill all the enemies that way - "bug" solved.
Oh yeah the dodging animations seem strange, maybe left out, or it's physx again.
Except that - what bugs? |
OH Mr.IcedFreon can you test your AGEIA card on this game and say if this theories are true . pretty please

Alright, maybe the horse upside down... but as already stated, I just run on foot so this won't happen to me. Clipping issues, bodies disappearing -> got an Aegia card? Didn't think so, me neither - so shove it.
And those make the game unplayable? I don't think so.
Gothic3 had major bugs which even prevented you from completing one of the game endings (there are only 11 paladins spawned in game, but you need 12), but this game is perfectly fine. And I really love this game, this is why I'll defend it until someone really brings up a totally game breaking seriously-flawed bug. Come on, every game has clipping issues, some smaller some bigger, but it never stops you as a player from completing the game.

Use Windows Update or download manually from microsoft and install "Windows Installer 3.1 (KB893803)" update
Then PhysX drivers will install properly (You need to install them from game disk, older versions may crash the game)

I love how they put something stupid like AGEIA PHYSX in a "small" game like this.
Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Thx!
Xenthalon: Sorry, i was sleeping. I'll enumerate the bugs that REALLY annoy me.
1st. If you're riding the horse trough the road and you come across a big slope the horse just stops. doesn't turn back, doesn't go forward it simply doesn't respond. I call that a HUGE game stopper since one of the things i really like in these open world rpgs is to ride alot.
2. Clipping issues. Getting stuck inside a house and not being able to get out because some npc is stuck at the door is really really bad. Even worst, when the npc eventually made it out someone else would come inside and get stuck. I had to reload.
3. In some fights mobs just stopped fighting me. Just like that, a group of 5 bandits just decides to sacrifice themselves to the might of my sword!
Once in a while, bang. I get a CTD. Happened twice so it may not happen again.
I do not consider any of these game stoppers but I consider them enough to stop playing the game. The combat is kind of weird, too. Better than gothic 3 but still has room for improvements.

You think that will solve the problems?? I doubt that there will be issues like this for the 360, that's why they delayed the release date.
I understand your feelings for the game. Those are the same I had when gothic was released. I was just like "oh the game is a bugfest but i'm really going to try it out. Eventually a patch will come out."
Thing is, I refuse to play crappy games again. And I was really looking forward for two worlds... Perhaps i'll give it a try on the 360 if it's really worth it.

1. - told you I didn't use the horse at all, so no problem here... would be too much of a hassle to get down to loot all the corpses then mount again yaddayaddayadda
2. - alright, had that happen once. I followed a npc inside a house (he opened the door) and I walked in after him, door closed, and I couldn't get out again. Well but the important houses can be opened without any problems, and all the houses look the same from the inside anyways
3. - never had that happen personally.
Leishar wrote: | oh the game is a bugfest but i'm really going to try it out. |
This was the whole point of why I wanted you to post your "bugs". I wanted to make clear to others reading this that the game is NO bugfest. Gothic was with the crazy boars (which I had no problem with because I used arrows ;P) and the questline that still - to this date - cannot be completed (the one with the 11 paladins).
Two Worlds just has minor issues with clipping and horse riding. This game is very very far of from being a "bugfest". Maybe 1 out of 300 bodies dissappeared completly and are never to be found again, so it's not that big a deal anyways. Plus, I am not just "trying it out", I am level 44 already and deep into the game, and I am still enjoying it.
But I do admit that combat could be improved. I have a heavy Diablo II background, so I don't see anything wrong with it, and there are plenty of fun skills to use, but if there were combos as for example in Severance... oh the joy *dreams*

Haven't really encountered that much in terms of bugs and issues and I haven't had a single crash either so the only smaller problems would be how the horses act and minor hitbox issues. (Getting stuck in stuff and getting others stuck in stuff).
Killing a bandit and seeing his head moving forward before his body follows would be a good example, as would getting stuck in furniture or being pushed into furniture by NPC's but those may be AGEIA software issues. (That wrapper thing used when there are no hardware PhysX card detected).
I also have a Q73_LocalisedTranslation key in the inventory that I got from a bandit during a cave raid that was part of a small quest and the spell known as concentrate lacks a description.
(Player character can be a total idiot sometimes as well with those weird comments about everything around him and his answers during dialogue, but that's probably intentional)
Level scaling could be better but it works, kinda annoying that bandits start in leather and move towards better gear at the same time the player does but they aren't that difficult unless there's alot of them, usually near camps and similar.
(Seems to happen with most stuff, orcs and gromms are using quite powerfull weapons now and bandits have extremely tough plate gear and very deadly weapons, makes item combining easier though - have like 10 swords combined into a very lethal weapon.)

from what it sounds like with all these bugs that this game is just another too early released unfinished pos. I'm sure the devs who made this game have some kind of 'help us with improving our game' bug filing forms where people who bought the game can report bugs and be beta testers who payed for this great service.
You can expect a two worlds sequel/xpack in 6 months or so adding some lame content and new features that should of been in the game in the first place, but mainly a giant list of bug fixes. TY america pc gaming beta testers for your money /signed low budget game developer.
