I suck horribly at the ones where you need to know what commands to use lmao. UPLINK FTW!!

It works the same way as gothic, the better you get at the melee skills the more combinations and moves your able to perform.

Its telling me now that my serial is invalid.

it's perfectly reasonable to just install the update and replace the exe with the old one
"But Epsilon you noob that defeats the purpose of the update in the first place ffs!"
Normally it would but they didn't change anything in the engine only in the game world, they added an "update.wd" file and appended that file to the index of wd files to load, get WDPack and look for yourself if you don't believe me.
So if you install the update and replace the new exe with the old one you'll get all the fixes and still be able to play with the old serial.

OK, so they changed stuff in the game world, that doesn't mean the game engine (in the main executable probably) wasn't fixed as well.

Get out your disassembler and have a look for yourself, as I can't be bothered pointing stuff out for you.

Crashed aswell, and yes, the engine is updated with the patch.
EDIT: BTW this game has excellent soundtrack(made by composer of "Top Gun" and "Beverly Hills Cop" themes), it's worth playing ONLY for that, if you don't like anything else about it(which I seriously doubt, coz it's great)

Based on the various filedates the patch only updates a few of the exisiting files, most of the changes are done to the update11.wd file it adds to the WDFiles folder.
TwoWorlds.exe
Language.wd
EAXConfig.cfg
Those are the only files I see that has changed since the patch was applied so it should work fine with the old exe though some of the fixes done to the game engine will probably not be applied. (Unsure what they did to it aside from the dummy serial blacklist).
Checked the registry and found a few values but no matter what I adjust the game crashes about two frames into the game, seems to happen to all 9xxx owners but the card is getting quite old and I will probably update the computer anyway in a year or so.
(Searched the EXE and found a few command parameters as well such as -EnableLog and - EnableError though those log files don't help much)

Yeah I was wrong when saying they didn't change anything about the engine I admit it, having tried to run it after updating I admit defeat.
JBeckman you need to extract the wd files into ther proper directories else it won't write logs..
in /Parameters/Fullrender and /Parameters/FullrenderCUT
you can define rendering and LOD distance for the engine so as to get rid of the 'soup'

Neat, after patching to 1.10 and not using the .exe the game crashes back to desktop once you click new game, but you can load savegames without any problems whatsoever.

Resolution (and a option to only show 4:3 resolutions and ofcourse windowed mode)
Anti-Aliasing (Normally disabled in windowed mode but can be enable via regedit)
Various detail sliders (Object detail, texture detail, grass distance, gamma, hdr brightness and probably one more I can't remember)
There's also a option for high quality shadows but I only found it from regedit and not in the ingame option menu.
(HKey_Local_Machine/Reality Pump/TwoWorlds/ quite a few settings to mess around with)
Oh and I got the logfiles to appear with the command line options I found in the exe file, sorry for being unclear about it, they just didn't contain that much of interest.
(EnableError however made the game complain quite a few times before it started, guess there are a few issues still needing to be fixed)
