I refuse to buy one. Mainly cause the 8800 cards have the HAVOK FX inegrated and no need for a physx which I find those cards to be utterly useless. Theres what..3 good games that support it

Nah, its good for this game. If only the card was less than the game. At least it was overpriced when it came out.
but in other words... mostly useless atm, and if you had the card you should also be having another gfx card in your rig

Your sig is totally redundant,
I don't have the card either, the game should not run that badly or look as craptacular as it does, nor should majorly bad clipping errors occur and very very slow and choppy physics. Christ if this is the best PhysX is gonna offer then get out the bankruptcy papers. The card is a waste of time and this game is just coded badly on purpose to run like shit without the card.
Despite all of that even on face value theres nothing to write home to about the gfx either and dont get me started on the gameplay, jeez.
Integrated Havok FX will blow them out of the water.
Ageia going up against Havok is like Me renting videos out of my car and trying to compete with Blockbuster, its ridiculous.

My FPS in the menu is even worse than in-game.
Oh, now that I remembered, I don't have an Ageia PhysX card.
Could that be it?

I hope this type of release happens for the 1st AND the last time in pc gaming.
If they think the pc gaming community buys every new card just to see some fancy effects, no thanks......
This would mean => "Buy a card (physics, sound, gfx,...), because we don't bother anymore tweaking the game for pc's without one of our cards."
If this is the start of a new era in pc gaming, then pc gaming is dying....even faster then it is nowadays (unpolished games, patches +500mb, etc...).

It could go either way I'm on cable and bitch about patches, some are big and some are small, why release a game and a patch the same day or next day? devs are getting away with turning pc gamers into beta testers... However big patches are also usually new content for the game which is appreciated by the community.
anyway Im dling the 2 lvl demo and will share a my impressions.

There's really a few good reasons I use windows x64.
#1 being I have 64bit hardware -my mobo/CPU and I wouldn't get the advantages out of them if I were using 32bit. Large packaged files; zip, rar, and such extract and compress 2x faster, but you have to have the right software winrar doesn't use these features.

Seeing as how this game blows donkey dick...who cares about going off topic so here I go WOOOOO.
The ONLY benefit I have seen for 64 bit as far as gaming goes is the 64bit patch made for farcry. I'm sure you've all seen it but for those who haven't the links there. It's quite amazing even at the date of the game they can still up the effects and eye candy with just one simple patch to take advantage of the hardware. It's sad no other games took after this like FEAR or something  |
