so...not only have you to change to vista, even tho halo dont have any DX10 support(really the only reason for wanting to change to vista....ever)(even tho DX10 aint out yet)they want you to buy the game and pay to play online...the balls of them...if it is pay to play thats just adding the final insult-i thought it was cheeky of M$ at the start for you to have to get vista if you wanted to play halo 2 on pc,but to pay again and again for a two year old console port with no bells n whistles and have to pay to play online...
WISE THE FUCK UP,BILL
but having said all i have said,i bet it will still sell - i wonder what bill will think of next...have to pay to start up your operating system when you want to?

Who cares about Halo2?! It's already a few years old, and is exactly the same thing as Halo1. Even Halo3 seem exactly the same thing as Halo1 I can't wait to see it released on PC 2 years after, it will be 2002 graphics in 2010.

Are there more Vista-only games coming up? I really don't care about missing Halo 2 and hope to stay with XP at least for this year.

Microsofts next plan is to make their OS's embedded into the hardware so you can't change it and will come with a slot on your comptuer to enter a quarter everytime you want to boot up. They are hiring staff to go home to home to collect the money weekly.

Oh yeah, this is really going to encourage Vista adoption. |
Well, for *some* people it has the opposite effect. What's the point in upgrading to Vista just to play a piece of shit game that looks like crap? |
My post was an example of sarcasm. Fascinating concept really, I'm quite taken with it. |

IcedFreon, sorry to break it to you, but every game I have tried in vista, including old stuff like System Shock 2, has worked perfectly. Get a better computer.
Pay to play online? Not if you are have a Live! Gold account, which all of you should already have. Also, online PLAY is free, its just online achievements/friends features that are not.
To quote the Halo 2 Vista blog (http://blogs.ign.com/MGS_HiredGun/)
"Silver accounts on LIVE can earn achievements on the single-player campaign, and play in multiplayer games. Gold accounts on LIVE have the added benefit of being able to earn achievements in both single-player campaign and multiplayer matches."

why should we all have a gold account? lol do u think everyone here has a console? good luck with that.
and notice what you said. every game "YOU'VE" tried.
overall vista sucks for gaming no matter what you say.
maybe next year.
