Hi,

i bought geforce 7600GT video card 3 months ago..
i sent it to where i bought it from 2 months ago because of a problem
now i got the video card back and it supposed to be fixed but i still have the problem..
so maybe u can help me..

when i turn on the computer so it's turned on but the monitor (CTR not LCD) is still turned off but the computer itself is running..
but if i put my old geforce 4 mx 440 so the monitor works fine

oh and when the monitor's cable is unplugged so it shows a message something with "signal" and when i plugging it to the 7600gt so the message is disappeared so the monitor detects the video card but it donesn't turned on...

what can i do?

please read this thread to prevent asking questions that already been answered:

first of all there is no link to your thread
did u tried connecting your monitor to DVI port via adaptor?
and what's your monitor minimum refresh rate?
did u tried other monitor?

and what sort of problem was before u send your card for repairs? if same they probably send your faulty card back

Your link doesn't work.

I guess your card is running at a too high refresh rate, set it lower instead of optimal. At bootup press F8 so you get the Windows boot menu and select VGA mode to do this.

Rinze- i can't get to the boot screen since there is no view at all..
i can't see anything..
or maybe u mean that i should do this with the old graphic card?

ELIZ- 1.you are the third guy that suggesting that option.. i will buy this next week..
2. i think it's 60 hertz
3. i've tried another computer, of course with another monitor.

when i first sent the card for repair there was no problem i just forgot to connect the molex connector so all the games were crashed after a few minutes of playing..

thanks.

Sounds like the card is still faulty.
