I vote fake. If you look around enough, you'll find the whole nfo...

The real USA release name is "ArmA: Combat Operations". The name in the nfo is "Armed Assualt - Combat Operations". Smells wrong.

The nfo shows "Protection ....: Tages". The Czech version was Starforce, the EU version Securom, now Tages for the USA? Why wouldn't they just stay with Securom in the US? Smells wrong.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not holding my breath that this one is legit. Time will tell.

there *are* times when stuff appears on torrent sites before it appears on nforce ya know....i can think of at least a few games recently (done my reloaded) that conform to that...dawn of magic is one of those, i dont use torrent sites but do look round em-but i thought i would mention seeing the torrent(which seems about the right size too)

I have the US version and have been playing online. I don't think euro folks are patched up to the US version yet since there are a ton of servers I can't play on. Hopefully they patch that up soon. Fun game though... air physics could be a lot better but what can you expect out of a tactical infantry game.

It's only $39.99 in the US... worth the purchase if you like this type of game. Hopefully someone releases a clone soon I hate having discs in my drive.

Edit : This must use a newer securom. It detects YASU 1.07 when mounting with A120%. It also detects that a backup is being used when run through YASU 1.1.7035. Creating the image was easy though.

Ok, I got it to work! I have a fully working clone. Very Happy

I had to do two key things to make this image work.

1. I had to rip using A120% with HIGH DPM readings. This created a perfect image.
2. I had to hex edit Y.A.S.U. 1.1.7035 to change "Y.A.S.U" to something else. I named it J.A.F.U.

Now it's working 100%. A clone group should be able to do this pretty easily.

I haven't tried the A10 mission I'm only playing online. Smile

I don't use a cracked version but there is a CD key that you need for install. i'm sure you need a valid key to play online.. you should buy a copy. Smile

Multiplayer is a lot of fun but there are also a lot of cheese tactics you'll run into. On large servers there will always be a few guys on the enemy team who will camp out parachute points instead of capturing a flag and just kill people while they're spawning from the sky. Other than that though, the combat is very uhmmm... realistic I guess you could say. It's a bit of a rush to get kills. Smile

I don't believe the key has anything to do with the protection. That would be more on the crack's end if used.
