|
 |
There was a script (It was on Russian or on some Soviet lng.), which was built only for the one scene purpose, to scan all folder(dir's) names, and to compare all folder names mutually (not files), to hunting the dupes and older versions of movies/tv, with a percentage hit how much the discovered similarities are founded with the exact percentage in the hits,
like in example.:
The.Prestige.2006.DVD9.720p.BDRip.X360WMV.INTERNAL-SMeG - sim.hit 73%
The.Prestige.PROPER.DVDR-MPTDVD - sim.hit 64%
The.Prestige.R1.NTSC.DVDR-EMERALD - sim.hit 53%
or:
Deja.Vu.2006.DVDRip.XviD.AC3.iNT-BKL - sim.hit 86%
Deja.Vu.2006.DVDRip.XviD.AC3.iNT.2CD-Skye - sim.hit 85%
Deja.Vu.2006.DVDRip.AC3.XviD.iNT-R2 - sim.hit 73%
Deja.Vu.TC.XViD-mVs - sim.hit 61%
Deja.Vu.DVDRip.XviD-DiAMOND - sim.hit 92%
Deja.Vu.2006.DVDRip.XviD.AC3.iNT-JUPiT - sim.hit 53%
it was a great tool, ideal for finding the old tc compared to the dvd.scr compared to the dvd.rip's and dvd.rip's compared to dvd.rip.proper's.
It had a scene filter with the names and acronyms of all groups, it was a cleaver tool, I could say ideal.
Anyone remeber the name of the tool?
Just to warn people, I'm not searching for the file(dupe) hunter. file dupe checkers are useless for this purpose.
I'm searching for the tool which is able to compare only the folders based on their names and to list all the similar folders with the percentage of the founded similarities in their names.
It is a perfect for the scene names, we all know that the scene files are structured like "dmt-gridiron", or like "nep-cont-xvid", but folder names are structured properly in a full movie/tv name format with all known scene names and acronyms and all script did recognized all shrinks like "-", "_", ".".

I have no clue what you are talking about, I mean I see more or less what you mean but I don't see why you would need that, do you want to use it so you don't race dupes, that the only thing i can think of...
