Hi folks. This is my first post here and I recently found this link.

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Yahoo-Messenger-Powerful-Alternatives-53379.shtml

Do you know any other good alternatives for Yahoo Messenger? I really need a tool to connect at my job where the program is blocked but none of the ones mentioned in the article worked Sad

Why don't you use Yahoo Web Messenger?

I have to use MSN WebMessenger at work because we don't have the program installed. Less functionality over the web, but at least it works Smile

I can't use Yahoo Web Messenger because the entire messenger.yahoo.com subdomain is blocked. I guess the protocols used by the Yahoo Messenger are also restricted so as long as I don't use a proxy, I'm not able to connect to any server. However, a good proxy is hard to find so... I really need a solution..

Use Firefox with the FoxyProxy plugin. Then uou have to download the official program pack from the Tor webpage I believe. It's pretty slow, though. We'll beat those blacklisting fookers fo so !
