okay, I patched the euro release of Resident Evil 4 to 1.10 via the recent patch, but instead of fixing the lighting, I now have black covering just about everything in the game:

Has anybody else encountered this? Confused I've googled around but haven't found anybody else that's experienced this. My friend was able to patch without probs, he has an ATI card. I have an Nvidia, not sure if that's related.

Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks!!

My specs are as follows:

athlon xp 3200+
nvidia geforce 6800 gt oc
1gb corsair ddr ram
windows xp pro sp2

well i saw on some posts on resident evil thread some guys having the same problem and the solution is reinstall the game and keep your saves a save Razz ... then install the patch again and say what happen

Edit:

also i saw another thing it seems the patch damages the DX9 installed on the pc so before reinstall the whole game try to run dx9 from the DVD game and restart maybe that solution is more easy to do ...

Say something then Very Happy

ahhh, okay, good good. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but before patching, I took a look at the main RE4 thread and apparently you HAVE to have like 5 gigs of free space or whatever on the drive RE4 is installed on it is when patching, otherwise it will skip stuff and give you the black

Cheers! Very Happy
