Dont know where you hear this shit. |
In this thread for a start. |
So if one person posts that they are having trouble you assume the clone is broken and that all clones must therefore suck?
Seems to me it works fine, just like 90% of all clone releases, which btw are more hassle free then a group release, assuming you have a good burner or use alchohol (using daemon on clones is bad)

Same problems here too.
As for the CloneCD bashing going on... kinda funny (but mostly retarded) especially in light of the whole Sims 2 madness going on...
How many bad cracks are they up to? 4 ? 5? And you say CloneCD releases have problems? There are twice as many bad cracks for each problem a CloneCD release brings along.

I got a bigger problem, when I click to run the program, I get BSOD and it dumps my memory then hard reboots.

Round 2:
Installed latest Alcohol, removed all D-tools.
- Didn't work.
Installed latest D-tools, removed all Alcohol 120.
- Didn't work.
Set all emulation options in D-tools.
- Didn't work.
Went back to Alcohol, tried using their Emulation options.
- Didn't work.
Scrubbed my system for games that may have interfering protections.
- Didn't work.
Ran a StarForce cleansing program.
- Didn't work.
Oh well.
EDIT: Finally got it working, lol. Not sure how though, uninstalled every imagineable program that delt with virtual drives and shit like that (like Nero, etc). Uninstalled a bunch of games I thought might have shady copy protections, and ran the StarForce driver removal tool until it said there are none on my comp.
Removed both D-tools and Alcohol, then installed Alcohol. Mounted the image after the install, ran it, and it finally went. Jeez.

Turns out my hesitation was unwarranted. Ran right out the gate using Alcohol 1.9.2 (with the YAG multilanguage crack), no uninstalling of Daemon-tools or anything. I got lucky, apparently. A sweet little game...looking forward to NOT having that horrible annoying crack hunt like there was for Port Royale 1. That Nvidia logo at the start is pretty funny too, really got me primed for that cutting edge set of graphics, whoo! Isometric water reflections! (I love my Geforce 6800, but that still was a bit much. It's a pretty game at least).
If you liked Port Royale, seems like this is just a better version, using Patrician III's improvements. Plays real similar to both of those games. Gogogo Ascaron!
