IMO the new demo is much improved. I could set everything to max and still have ~20fps in cities. And that with my 120$ crappy 7600gt.

Sure it may sell plenty of copies, but will they keep playing? Its no BF2/2142, its no CSS, its a game where patience and carefull thought and planning win the battle. Takes patience. In Australia we have 4 servers running, at any one time 2 of those servers have numbers, one could be 40+ if something like a Berzerk map is playing, the other will be a coop with 10-30. There are 20+ BF2 servers, no idea how many 2142 or CSS there are. Two thirds are full at any one time.

But to be honest i haven't seen a different game that has so many addons and mods for it. You can download almost everything for opf. And the good thing is that they made it easy to import all the addons from opf to arma.

In no way do I disagree with you, Im just saying the 'masses' prefer the easier arcade rubbish. Personally I cant get enough of Arma. Its the ONLY online game for me at the moment.
And can I just say, Dr Eyeball is a clan mate of mine, we are from TOG (The Older Gamers) kudos to him for his work being added to evo1.4

Cant say, probably not. The problem with this game is that if you want to have good fun playing it (at least the COOP bit) online, and dont have mates who are into it, you will have to join a clan..

yes, but it's useless as only the core was cracked - none of the addons work, and few even fan mission works without many addons

As you would expect from an Operation Flashpoint game, you'll get a Single- and
Multi-Player war simulation in a current scenario. The gameplay will be as realistic as
possible. A large selection of military professions allows you to find your role on the battlefield.
The graphics engine is a shooter-version of the Neon-Engine, which you can see in action
in screenshots and videos of "Colin McRae Dirt". More information on Operation Flashpoint 2 will be available some time this summer.
I wonder if it'll stay true to the style of Operation Flashpoint, it's just the same publisher and not the developer so anything could happen (KOTOR2?)
What I read about the Neon-Engine does seem promising. Apparently it's capable of realistic physics simulation ala Star Wars: Force Powers or what that game is called, so wood breaks in a realistic way and things like that, and something about great particle effects which are influenced by movements of the air and whatnot.
Does sound like it's gonna be very heavy on the CPU

Operation Flashpoint 2 has nothing to do with BiS at all, in my eyes this probably means the game won't be that good. Codemasters owning the brand, probably using some in-house developers on it too... I will wait and see but I'm afraid it will suck.
Behold his GLORY! Bow for the technical master!

I love KOTOR 2, I thought it was just as great as KOTOR 1!
But I'm expecting this game to turn out bad, I don't trust these guys and Operation Flashpoint is very different from every other game out there, I seriously doubt a totally different developer can produce something that's quite like it.

The screenshot looks promising, but Call of Duty 2 has nice looking screens and arcade crap gameplay, so only time will tell. Expectations are very low.

This is good news for me! Then I might play it. The screenshot looks nice. Bohemia's games are too awkward, boring, difficult and buggy for my taste.
