As for metal, check out Sigh. They play some sort of whacky power metal influenced black metal mixed with loads of other music genres (their album Gallows Gallery had loads of funky reed organ melodies)

The most obvious band would be Dir en Grey. Check out their album Vulgar from 2003.

there is a japanese band called Boom Boom Satellites one song ''Dive For You''' was a soundtrack in a movie called Appleseed never found the mp3 on the net till now song is nice Smile
