it was in the genral area as i put it there cause i made the thread myself so didnt think it was right to put in the news section.but the mods moved it here because every1 started flaming.

Actually its one of the few attempts at a proper discussion, problem was it was posted in the void lol. lesson learned ginge

i didnt post it in the viod m8 it was in genral chat at 1st till people started flaming the thread then it got moved to the viod.

firstly, stop reading forums and media reports about terror groups; the majority of the shit in the western press is bullshit about it but you can choose to believe what you want this is just the view of me and my contemparies.

Can you please state when they were attacking every few weeks and where? There must be a gap in my knowlege, islamic miliant groups like to use the ideas of symbolism when staging attacks in the west, for example the side of a US boat they blew up in the late 1990's and the attack on 9/11 was a focus on the world economy. It has nothing to do with frequency and more to do with the message it delivers

Now comes to the point where you contradict yourself; you think theres a major attack coming but you also think the group is dead? Can you clear this up please.

Al-Qaeda is far from dead and dormant, if you think that because a few of its top brass have been killed thats its over your very naive. Groups such as this train people 3 teirs down to replace their superiors (remember they were trained by the CIA and funded) so i'd say that they still remain a threat but you can feel at ease because of this "war on terror"

You should start paying attention to Iran's actions and various other groups accross the middle east instead of reading and istening to bullshit media hype

Anyway, thats enough serious debate for today, take this to the World News section if you wish to gain a more serious response

OK well bare in mind my knowledge of Al-Qaeda is fairly limited. i agree with your earlier comments about western texts being basically bullshit and the terrorist attacks being more to make a point.

I personally don't belive that they are dead and yeah they wern't popping up every few weeks ginge, its just at the time of incidents like 9/11 the media focused on terrorism a hell of a lot more and everyone seemed to want to belive it was Al-Qaeda doing the attacks and suicide bombings etc, when in fact it was probably just Al-Qaeda wannabes.

Realistically imo they aint gonna die any time soon Al-Qaeda are labelled as a terrorist group due to the way they go about things and because there reason for doing the things they do is mainly focused around religion, their religion aint gonna go away so therefore they will not. other groups labelled as terrorist groups i think are mislabbeled its just that they are too small to have an "official" government or be goverened by their own internal laws. note that i do not belive this of Al-Qaeda before anyone decides to start diving on my comments and attacking me.

On a seperate note the label "terrorist group" is used far to lightly. Bush and Blair say the "war on terrorism" frequently, i'm no fan of the actual terrorists but what is us and america INVADING a whole country (iraq) and lining up to invade another
(iran) if its not terrorism under the guise of an official government?!

man, thats the best thing i've heard someone on here so for a while, what you say is really on point.

Wars on Nouns are the lamest thing ever, plus it serves an agenda for us to have a war on terror, we can invade numerious countries to do as we please look at afghanistan, iraq and soon to come iran.
Israel does the same thing (no so bad as we do) but look at there war last summer we lebanon, just jokes.

Agree entirely on your last point, us invading other conuntries is terrorism and anyone who thinks the US and UK don't sponsor terrorism are just tools. Take a little read into John Negroponte (spell?) that guy is a terror fuckery expert.

Anyway i'm all tired out from winding up ginge im going to read my book Smile
