					| not a word about the flight model in the FAQ
as of today still nothing beats the (stolen) military sim flight model used in Lock-On. although it definitely needs better GFX...

At a quick glance I believe that is the game which uses the X-Plane engine so it will have a good (certainly more detailed) flight model.

Flight model wise, perhaps, but gameplay wise it's extremely barren and what are you talking about in regards to 'stolen'?

					| Oh and it doesn't need better GFX. Falcon 4 doesn't have great graphics for example, but they are extremely functional and don't get in the way of the enjoyment (you'll never question it). It could do with the flight model from Lock On though | |

					| Ispep,
Eagle Dynamics actually took the flight model from a military sim used to trian pilots without any official agreements. That was the end of 90s - still a lot of confusion etc in the country so no one really paid attention. They've made the famous Su-27 Flanker game and then refined to make Lock-On. But it still uses that semi-legal military tech as a core.

Same goes for T-72 Balkans on Fire. It's also a military sim with upgraded GFX. That's why it is so realistic and critically acclaimed.

					| Didn't know LOMAC flight model was stolen from a military sim, when I played I thought the carrier landings were quite easy, and the realism was set to max..

					| Military simulators aren't all that anyway, it all depends. You could call anything a military simulator as long as it served the purpose it was designed for. Doesn't mean that within the realm of videogames that it automatically fulfils the criteria we use to define 'realism' and 'simulation'.
As for Lock On, it's the first I've heard of it being stolen from a military simulation. Is there any reference to this at all, what's your source?
