Planing on buying a new system. well already bought the RAM (4GB),the GFX Cards (2 x 8800GTX 768MB in SLI)
need to buy CPU and motherboard,what should I buy,a quad core 2 duo,or a just a regular core 2 duo (like the E6600)??

You can get the E4300 or the E4500 and overclock it easy to E6700+ capabilities.

lol  . you can say that any day of the year. Maybe he hasnt upgraded his rig for 10 years and still has a 386. he has about the same comp as i have now and for games its been outdated for almost 2 years now |

if thats so he should just buy a nvidia 6xxx series card because no point in using lots of money when there are no games out and dx10 is released 21. ? or something like that.

Both Supreme Commander & Company of Heroes will support DX10 in a month or so...

buy the quad core if you have the monry

Yeah i know what your feeling about building a new system , but technology changes so fast that it's tough to decide on which, my rig is about 3 years old and still kicken, it plays OBLIVION , C&C3 with no issues, mybe by summer i'll decide...ASSUS/NVIDIA all the way for sure ....good luck, my rig in my sig is like yours gotta love those bartons...
