Comparing Leonidas with Gbush Laughing

Similarities? Taking troops to a stupid war without consent and trying to look like a hero..?

Then all leaders in war are the same.

You compare G.W.B to a man who wanted to defend his country from an invading force? And not compare G.W.B to people like Caesar, Napoleon, Hannibal, who's intent was to conquer other countries?

deja-vu - 7.5/10 thought this movie was nice. very bone collector meets paycheck.

Pans labyrinth - 6/10 some nice scenes in it. thought it focused too much on the actual war rather than the labyrinth.

Alright, alright. As you wish. It's just a visual masterpiece without any propaganda on subconscsious level. Sure, why not. A mere coincidence.

Well....he DID base his comic on a true event...it's not like if what happened has much to do with what happens today.

Just thinking of going into this arguement when reading the last page.

If 999 billion people (ok not that many but many) was on the way to invade your country and you want to stop that before they reach you, how is that a stupid war? 300 people vs thousands without even beeing alittle afraid seems heroic to me.

Not even alittle similar to the current political situation imo.

Which was exactly what Frank Miller tried to define with the comic book and what Zack Snyder perfectly adapted!

I hope all of you linking 300 to George Bush realize that the comic was written before Bush even took office, let alone before the second invasion of Iraq. If those of you bitching took the time to read the comic you'd know how similar the movie is. Any similarities between 300 and current events are coincidental at best.

Oh jeez, how stupid one can be... WHY - God, why? - must the original be written/drawn/created the same year??? Can't you possibly imagine that you can effectively use something already created if it fits, at least partially.

Aight, that was my last reply on the 300 subject. Now you can get back to your arab slamming.

88 Minutes - 7/10 underrated movie. imdb user review doesn;t do it justice at all. the comments about al pacino beating up guys in leather jackets to prove he "still has it" is just stupid since he doesnt tussle with 1 person all thru the movie and the comment about girls throwing themselves at him is equally ridiculous.

Proper spolier below could give away plot points!
[spolier]One is a hooker and paid to fuck him (she has a nice ass too!) and the other one just has a school girl crush on him[/spoiler]

Worth watching. IMDB doesnt do it justice.

Casino Royale - 7.5/10
Graded for what it is, a Bond/action flick. Pretty ok. Never thought i´d like the new Bond, but he wasn´t bad. Not great either though.

Find Me Guilty - 7/10
Ok, Vin isn´t a great actor, but i´ve seen worse than this. No action at all in this one, so now he has to try atleast Razz

Reservoir Dogs - 8.8/10
Had to see it again. And no, imo not a full 9, but 8.5 feels too low Razz
