Huge price cut and such and they finally were able to bench the CPU's according and I can't beleive the 3d mark 06 scores actually favor AMD but not by much

AMD wins again, and we're just starting to sell AMD again at work because of the merger with ATI. Congrats to the smartest business decision by hardware companies in the last few years.

Yeah, amd beating intel by a few points with an outdated architecture with every clock squeezed out of it and slashing prices to compete really doesn't mean jack. They need to really do something special with their next chip(k8l I believe?) to really get back in the game. Even with quads amd doesn't seem to be able to catch up with intel. They've lost alot of their enthusiast market(myself included) and I think it will really hurt them if they can't get the performance crown back soon. I hope they do tho, cuz competition is good for everybody.

Core i7 920 @ 3.8Ghz | 6GB OCZ DDR3 8-8-8-24 @ 1600mhz | eVga x58 Mobo | 2 x eVga GTX 460 SLI | Intel X25-M + 3x Seagate + WD Black = 2.75TB | X-Fi Titanium | PCP&C Silencer 750 | G15 KB | G5 Mouse | G35 Headset | Z-5500 Digital | Samsung T260HD
