Yeah, it is a really good engine. It has great optimization.

Well, I do give props to EA, they did a fine job, but this isnt the gdi vs. nod I knew. TS was all....apocalypse looking even with the units, this one seems too urban as if it shoulda been BEFORE tiberian sun. Other than my only complaints is how fast things build. Took no time at all to build a harvester, same with other big item things.

I felt they tried to keep it a bit more fast paced, which isn't WWS, but it was nice nevertheless. It had more of a REAL time to it, vs wait 10 minutes to do something. No game is perfect, but I don't know if I agree about the before Tiberian Sun part, as the story line falls pretty much where it should.

I for one like it, reminds so much of the old C&C, and the faster speed is nice and all but the game is way to short. ~16 hours played and one or two missions to go.

Thats more than most games. If you play the last 2 missions it will be about 20hours.
Thats pritty long actually for a game these days.

Renegade, too? The others are using the SAGE Engine but Renegade?

The SAGE engine looks essentially a improved version of the W3D engine used by Westwood Studios.

Renegade used first the Sage Engine, then it was redesigned over 70% to get it work for RTS. So, from the old sage Engine is only a little bit left since renegade !

I like the Missions, i played now thru GDI and it has alot more campaigns as i thougt. Now i will go thru Nod Very Happy and then Scrin...

Great work EA ! (Need to grab a copy these days)

Don't know if it has been discussed earlier in the thread, but I am experiencing problems with the units pathfinding. Especially whem you have a somewhat large group of vehicles, and want to move them inbetween your buildings.

I just finished a few LAN games with my friend who played the demo a lot and then tried one with some stranger on a Hamachi server on a 3 players free for all. Off course my friend won all games but it was cool. Theres a lot of "hidden" features, I learn new tricks every game like using beam canons to boost the obelisks or the laser copters make them so strong.

When you install and go in "custom setup" then in "languages packs" you can select which language to install. There's english, french and another one I don't remember. Then in the splash autorun menu of the cd you click on the arrow and go in "set language".

I have to say the german translation is quite decent. Not as good as the english original of course, but it's way better than most other dubs.
