This game is awesome for everybody who played C&C since the first title, and for those who started later.
C&C is no game that sets new standards, its a game with a fantastic story since the first one. Everbody who doesnt agree is a fool. i awaited this title a long time like some others waited for stalker and prey, i love it and i think this game has a high potential to be a really good RTS ! |

Evil: hahah you loved rts since dune 2... i don't buy it. I've played RTS since the amiga days (yes dune 2 for me also) and i love cnc3, it's not as complex as Supreme Commander but then i never wanted it to be. For me the storyline is half the fun in this series. Unless you actually like the cnc storyline you shouldn't play this game end of story.

ok, so everybody seems to agree that the storyline is awesome. i haven't been following it. am i going to miss out playing this game without the background? if so, anybody have a link for the story/summary of the previous CnCs? Would be much appreciated!

and the last good rts was Company of Heroes
Total War rocks to... haven't played that "supreme commander"
This C&C 3 looks like mindless click fest... no brains needed to play.

LMAO @ all the people bitching off about this game.
This is just another C&C like the old games. It just has shiny new graphics, but gameplay is old. And that's what it was meant to be. Whoever expected a new strategic masterpiece can go crap in their pants, this is an Action-RTS with a cheesy story and videos. That's what C&C was about all along.
And for the people saying there are too few different units: I say better a few selected ones than a mass amount of useless types. In the end you are only going to use 3 to 4 different units anyway when you have found out the best combination. So who cares about leftovers?

its different than the last C&C Generals and Zero hour... haven't played the first C&C tho... maybe they where like this mindless crap....
@ least generals was fun to watch and the game play was... different some how
this C&C 3 is nice game to play when you dont have anything else to do

Are you kidding me? It was the most pathetic Age of .. game ever. That was a graphics whore game if any.
I bet if this game had C&C Tiberian Dawn graphics you would absolutely love it. Because this game has the same great gameplay as all the other C&C games, and thats the POINT!
Plus, it looks good. Which makes morons like you hate it.
Im so sure that if this game looked like C&C Tiberian Dawn you would love it, i know it. Because the gameplay isnt lacking in any way.
I flippin love the gameplay, and everyone who chooses to continue playing this game past the first week ALSO love the gameplay, there is no true gamer that only plays a game because of its graphics, if you seriously think that you are just a bigger moron than i tought. And thats saying alot.
Its the same with all you anti-gfx morons, its like you are afraid of pretty things just because you have been rejected for your entire life, jerking off to Margaret Thatcher because you feel you wont get anything better.
Grow the fuck up, and judge the game based on the GAMEPLAY and funfactor, not bashing it as soon as it has any special effects what so ever, god damn morons. A game can look good AND be great, give it a chance.

I dont really think this game has good gameplay.. its average.. maybe a bit above.. its just the same as it was years ago....
But since then RTS games have added new things to the genre... this aint..

this game is for those who want to play the same simple game all over again with good graphics... like all EA games .... its "the same shit all over again"
btw the shadows in this game 100% suck... its like NFS MW and some other EA games --> the shadow quality is even worse than in the last CC generals game's.
and yes im running this shit everything maxed out...

here is my review after 5 DGI missions...
starting from the graphic
At my old rig the game looks generic and colorless, though i got some stuff on high..
the most irritating thing are the units
it's really painfull to build sniper after sniper, just because i don't see where the others are.. The minimap is useless.. i can barely spot my units on it..
the units (infantry) are so small and their animations are mediocre at best (on high)..
still dawn of war has ultra better and detailed units with very nice and action feeling zoom level in compared to this... thing
So far the CGI movies rather annoy me... it feels to much like a B grade thing (it is supposed to be like this but i somehow i don't like it.. ) Till now all i got is dialogs/ monologues . There are no acion sequences with battles and so on.
I almost threw up playing the white house and the pentagon missions... As we all don't had enough American stupid patriotism. Since when GLOBAL (GDI) means american?
anyway there is nothing revolutionary about this C&C so far.. maybe gotta play some more...
btw. on which units are the bonus skins in the Kane editon and what's the difference with these of the ordinary edition ?

I said ages ago this was a poor game with weak animation
and got slated.Well done again EA for slaughtering a potentially good game.
Would i rather play coh? well yes i would and i shall.
Empire earth 2 had more animation than this and that's saying alot.

save movies else where and put dummy files instead of movies and copy movies after installation, it will be 1.6gb game and about 4 gb movies, at least that's how i did
