Cheesy video briefings, but now they are in HD quality and some of them looks quite impressive.
After each mission you choose what state/country you want to attack next, like the old C&C map, but this time around it just looks 100x nicer.
The graphics engine is also quite good. It runs great with lots of stuff happening with no slowdown. Its cyrstlacrisp, i love it.
The only thing i dislike is the few amount of units, however the addition of the 3rd faction helps.
Also, since this is an EA game, we will surely see many add-ons soon.
Anyway i give this game 8.5/10 - nice job EA |
You didn't point out a single negative thing, yet you score game 8.5? Makes no sense to me.

I highlighted some negattive points he made to you. And isn't 8.5 quite good score? I'm still waiting for my copy but I did like the demo to my surprise.

jeez, so what? he doesn't point out negatives like everyone else and you seem like your jumping on him for it. Take the fact someone gave something EA a good score and deal with it

can someone please confirm that the scrin have a campaign, please.
All I see on the title screen is 'nod campaing' 'GDI campaign', and I'm wondering if it's sort of like StarCraft, where you couldn't just jump into the more interesting campaigns, you had to beat the others first.

hmmm, only 4 missions. Oh well, better than not getting to play them in a story setting at all.
I'm sure they won't be 'destroy the powerplant'.
Then there's always skirmish, but I don't like how skirmish lets you check out absolutely everything, right at the start.

What do you mean only 4 missions? I'm on the tenth GDI mission atm and it's still really easy so im thinking there's many missions left.

I gave the game a chance, I played it for 6 hours but it was just a boring experience for me, I've become used to the micromangement of Supreme Commander so much even that I can manage it unconsciously, but CnC3 is just a clickfest, build a small variety of units and attack, rince repeat, I will try multiplayer aswell maybe it's more fun, but it just can't keep me entertained like the CnC of old. True much has happened since 1995 but CnC 3 has stayed true to those roots and they've spiced the gameplay up a little with lower buildtimes, I've just changed too much since 1995.
I'd heartily recommend it to someone who just got into the RTS genre though, I wouldn't recommend Supreme Commander to such a person.

for some reason I couldn't get into supreme commander I thikn it's cause the units were so small and didnt have much detail to them or something.

I'm on with you on that one, I couldn't really get into SC either, most likely for the same reason. Also, I love a good story, and that's what C&C has.
Anyways, I've played for a bit, and here are a few things I don't like (although I do like the game overall):
- missions are too short, 10-15 minutes, most likely 10
- campaign seems too short, as I'm in Act 3 GDI campaign and i've played for 3h total
- cutsecenes are cool and nice quality, but there are no CGI combat sequence cutscenes like in other C&C games, for example after finishing the mission you see soldiers throwing granades at air defense turret(in tiberian wars (or sun, can't remember)), or NOD raising their flag, or walker crushing vehicles; none of that anymore. There are no real action sequences for now, just people in GDI headquaters talking, and few reporters standing in the rubble. I was hoping for more in this area, tiberian sun did a great job here.
- there is no "epic" intro movie. I loved Red Alert 2 intro and I think they should have done something similar here

Does anyone happen to know where the replays are saved on your computer? I've downloaded a few off the net and was wondering what DIR I need to put them in to watch them. Thanks.
