Very nice visually but perhaps not the best Frank Miller book to adapt... Still the scenes amazed me and nice acting overall makes it a solid piece of entertainment and hopefully it will allow Snyder to make an masterpiece in the future! 8/10.

You're simply reading your own interpretation into a movie based on events that occurred thousands of years ago. What democracy are those soldiers protecting, anyway?

300 is an excellent movie. All of the scenes from Frank Miller's graphic novels were exciting and basically true to the original source. I wish the scenes with the queen lobbying the council were fewer and shorter, however it did not seriously hurt the overall feel of the movie. 9.5/10

saw it last night at the cinema, so happy i refrained from watching the DVDSCR, it was amazing! if you are a fan of visual storytelling, then 300 is for you.

i just wisited the movies board on imdb and i am honestly losing hope in humanity... every second topic is about how this movie is racist to persian people.. some dumb fuck even critisized that the pesrian king was played by a black dude and did not give credit to irans aryan roots...

Well i thought the movie was great. For what is was meant to be, And that is entertainment.
ITs not a East vs West propaganda movie, and its only very losely based on any factual events. But it is an amazing action movie, with great visuals and effects, and a really epic story.
You can relate many movies to actual events going on in the world.Does this mean they have a connection. Shit no, only a fool would belive this.
And why in ever blockbuster movie thread someone has to get there panties in a knott about people downloading it? Call me cheap (Becasue i am), but I will be buying it on HD-DVD, which is about twice the cost of your theater ticket.
I watched the DVDSCR, and found it quite good, and it looked amazing upconverted on my HD-A1, much better than on my PC or a standard dvd player.
