You should be idling at well under 60.. 40/50 ish. Underload 80 is still a tad high, but it depends on the game.. My card is hitting the 90's when playing Stalker, most other games its about 70-80.

50 idle 60 under load in tdu , not playing stalker so i can't realy compare

46 idle here. A friend of me had overheat problem with his gfx card aswell, 90c. Supposed to handle 110 people says :\

Mine is at 50-55 when idle, and 70-75 under load. That's complete normal temperatures.

@deelix: 110 degrees is the danger point of your card exploding Razz

mine is 70 when idle... mabe if i dust off the stuff from the cooler on the card?

btw what kind of cooling systems are ther efor gpu's?

weird, mine is 80 max when playing stalker, and that supposed to be a overheated game

70 is way to hot for an idle GPU. I have a custom cooler on mine (can't remember the name off the top of my head).. artic something 5 I think..

Your high idle temps are caused by...

1. Ambient Temp
2. Horrendous airflow

Pop your sidepanel off and see if it makes any difference, if the temp drop is drastic then you know the insides of your case are to blame. But yeah your card can handle 80C no problem, I would start to worry around 90 and then throw it in a bucket of ice if I saw it go over 100.
