is the doom 3 beta 2 worth getting? Is the code any more developed than the alpha version?

it IS the alpha version. Just with a lotta stuff rearranged and fixed up and more maps. If you didnt think your computer could run doom 3, think again (this alpha hak proves it).. fear the led zeppelin that was!

i have the original alpha, and it was barely playable.. is this any different, i mean are the levels that are contained in this build playable completely?

Heh, i've been there. This version is way more playable (and ironically enough the same version too). And yes, there are USER MADE levels in this that are completely playable and run fairly well. Peace, fear the led zeppelin that was!
