i've finished the "first level" and am up to the second. please tell me this game is not just a linear FPS?
So far the game is just going from point A to B and killing a few guys in black along the way.
Is there any more depth to this game?

whoever said they got the guass rifle right at the end i just got a sweet deal for a gauss rifle for only 800 ru. oh wait
he took my money and ran into his lil base with his mates.

How many endings is there?
I just did three of them, are there any more? Amazing endings btw, innovative approach definately, and I really like it that they don't lead your hand where to find them, and you have to figure out that there's more than the lame first ending.

Is there a way to come back from the place where the wish granter is? I got that i want to be rich ending, but i want to get other endings.

Unless the autosave is behind a door that closes behind you or you saved after such a thing happened just reload that savegame and continiue to explore, unsure if you can leave the place and go back to the zone but it should be possible as well incase you haven't completed what is required for the better endings.

Not sure...you have to have Decoder with you. If you don't have it you have to follow Strelok story line(find Guide, the Doctor, then Decoder). But I doubt you can exit the powerplant area once you enter it, although I didn't try. In any case you can load b4 you entered the chernobyl area and get the Decoder.
You can't get all of the endings, because some of them depend of your gameplay style, but you can get three for sure.

Can you please spoil where to find decoder. Spoiler: i believe i found the doctor when he was hiding in the Sterklok's underground place (where the Sterlok's flashdrive was found). So i talked to him. Then i found Ghost in the x16 lab (he was dead, he was the same dude as in that photo), but didnt get anything useful on how to find sterklok. Because i stopped looking for Sterlok and focused on reaching the Brain i forgot where i was in looking for Sterlok. Now i paid the dude in the bar money and he told me to go to Lake Yantar to find somebody else who i think he knows Sterlok. Man its getting freaking confusing, now i really have no idea where to go or who to look for, HELP please.

If you found and talked to the guide and went back to Strelok's hiding place to see the doctor you should have a quest to find the hidden stash at Pripayat's hotel, go there and take the decoder, shouldn't be too hard to find it, one of the rooms upstairs has it along with some documents

Oh thats what it is. On the way to wish granter, i went up that hotel and got the stuff inside the room. Good thing i saved after that part, so i'll restart from there and see what those things do. Thanks man, i just didnt pay attention to what i grabed, as i was busy dodging snipers with their super awsome sniper rifle.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has NOTHING to do with the Strugatsky brother's book, except that the MOVIE based on it was also called Stalker and there was an anomaly zone there. They just used a very popular name (in Russia) to attract the audience.

I played a bit of this game, love the feeling, the gfx and the shooting but there are some things I don't like.
-The whole enemy respawning thing? I saw it myself and it's one of the thing I hate the most in a FPS when you kill enemy but they keep coming always and always.. kinda make me want to stop playing.
-How do you properly exit the first part? I managed to rush in the tunnel and get hit by only one lighting bolt but got pretty lucky.. then I went above the trail and threw grenade at the soldiers.
-After exiting the first level (some loading) I get called to help some guys who get attacked by bandits where there are lot of cars carcass. I'm kinda stuck there, one hit kill me, I don't have smg ammo so I'm stuck with the shotgun. It takes two bullets to kill but the gun only have two so if I encounter more than one bandit at a time I die,.. and I'm usually not that bad in FPS.
-What the hell with the pseudodog tail? I got like 5 tails of dogs but the guy don't wanna register the mission as complete.
-If I want to return to the trader I need to run for about 1hour though all the loadings and bandit respawning only to finish a quest?

Thanks BearishSun and JBeckman, i did find that secret door and stuff. Spoiler: So now i had two possible endings, the one where i agree to join C-group (which was another shitty ending) and not join them. So when i didnt agree it kicked me out back to the zone, to do what? Kill sterlok and then come back to them?
