It's RPG/FPS mix. Alot of people compare it to STALKER nowadays, and it is quite similar actually, only stalker lacks skill system. In deus ex you also can hack, lock-pick and stuff, not to mention it has amazing story and characters.

(Don't flame for comparing it to STALKER, I've been playing it and 2 times already I had Deus Ex deja vu)

Deus Ex IW is not that bad... If you dont compare it to Deus Ex...
IW lost some (I mean most) of the rpg elements and the vastness of the levels...
I always blamed xbox for that...

All so true. However, Spector is developing two games ATM, let's see what comes out of them!

Thats the main reason I hated it. It just seemed like a glorified FPS with limited levels and ridiculously small loading zones. The Xbox 360 and PS3 will be able to handle bigger loading zones but I doubt we'll ever see a cross over with the same focus on RPG elements.

I've not really been following Bioshock as I don't want the hype to ruin it for me, but how RPG intensive is that likely to be?

Just one question: who'd need those crappy models from the HDTP by the end of 2007 (their targeted release date). They look like ValuSoft '2003 anyway.

is this rpg like or more splinter cell or what?

welll... it is RPG PLUS Splinter Cell really.
Youre agent can get very powerful over time and there are numerous sills to pick and choose to upgrade. Its really diverseand thats why replaying it is so much fun.

splinter cell?? Not even teh slightest, you can't do ANY of teh maneuvers, none of the same kind of weapons, missions are completly different. The only way their even remotly linked is stealth, and SC isn't the only game of it's genre
