Great.
While we're on the subject of fixes, for those with the quick save bug like me, you can type save savegamename in the console to save, then its just load savegamename to quick load it. Much easier than going to the main menu or exiting completely.

EXCELLENT!
Thanks very much for this fix! This weight "feature" is really a pain almost ruining the game. Now its finally fun again...
thx

I didn't youtube them 'cause that completely kills the quality, but here you can see where the bullets are hitting.
Oh, and something I forgot to ask in my previous post, are the enemies in the Freedom base respawning infinitely? I've cleared it out several times over, and when I start collecting ammo somebody always shoots me from out of nowhere.

Does someone have a fix that would prevent enemies from respawning? This is annoying as hell. It really kills the realism.

Just started playing. I completed the first task (to get the flash drive) which was one of the most frustrating things I've ever had to do in a video game thanks to the completely inept combat system. Unfortunately the guns are like peashooters and have the accuracy of an American missile. Still whilst it might not be satisfying or intuitive it's also not a game breaker once you get used to it.
Bored of the linear go here do that mantra I decided to take a stroll on my way back from the first mission, I noticed a group of three men walking towards me down the road and decided to great them. Unfortunately they obviously didn't like the look of me and started shooting. With a bit of tree hugging and cowardly run and hide tactics I managed to kill the three of them and loot their bodies. Doing this I noticed I was being fired upon from another building in the distance (again I have no idea why) but decided to ignore it and go back to camp.
Well I walk back into the camp and everything seems fine for a moment until they start getting their guns out and walking around funny. I wonder whether I killed their friends for a moment. I wait for a bit but nothing happens so I just figure this is some twitchy AI and go to deliver the disk. I do that, and ask for the next mission and in between a trade of the stuff I picked up earlier I heard lots of gunfire outside.
Well I rush back upstairs and there is a full scale invasion of the camp with people dressed like those I killed earlier! Well I thought, this is fun so I loaded up my weapons and started looting from the dead bodies and got myself in a window position to halt their advance.
Alas, I was too busy admiring (and looting) during the whole thing to be of much assistance and the camp swiftly fell. I retreated into a building on the left hand side and promptly fell into a small cellar by accident. Taking a peek above me one of the soldiers was stood there waiting so I open up on him with my machine gun and the words jammed flash across the screen and I die
Who were those guys? And is it normal they should kill the camp people? Would they have respawned? So far I think the game has potential but like with Oblivion I think I might wait until some mods come out before getting too heavily invested.

i think that you were attacked by the military and not the bandits because:
a.unlike the military, bandits don't respond by a full scale attack when their buddies are getting killed.
b.i don't remember a large enough bandits group in the first area to wipe out the stalkers but i did have a similiar scenario to yours with the military.

The military personel guards the "exit" gate from the zone (Can't leave anyway but now and then more military people arrive from it) and have a outpost next to it, you probably killed their patrol and in doing so you made them quite angry at the stalkers wich they already dislike.
(Random stalkers shoots at their patrol near a village full of stalkers, ofcourse they will get pissed and retaliate)

This is just a poorly made game and there's no way to argue otherwise.
The head-bobbing is indisputable proof that the dev team is composed of physically and possibly mentally retarded people. All of them must tilt their heads left and right when they walk. I feel sorry for them, as that has to really suck. It makes me nauseous just to play a game like that, let alone live with it every day.
Other than that, it takes about a dozen pistol rounds to the torso to kill someone. And the iron-sight aiming is completely useless.
On the upside, this game has inspired me to go back and play through Half-Life 2 again; Now that's a game worth purchasing, and one I'm pleased to have sitting on my shelf.

I agree with you to some extent... but on the video I watched with you shooting at the sniper nest... It appeared that you were aiming low.. That coupled with the fact that the game may take into account trajectory meaning you would have to compensate even higher above his head.
Take this with a grain of salt as I'm just getting into this game, but that's what it looked like to me. I'm just getting used to the damned gun physics myself so no offense. I'd say aim higher though... crouch if you can..

Operation Flashpoint > Stalker > Other shooters
If stalker was more like Flashpoint I'd be extremely satisfied. Hope there will be a mod with more damaging weapons, better sneaking model, no respawning, etc.

om your inventory you can check the time. If it changes very fast you pushed the * key. You have to push the / or + or - or * key again ingame to make the time go slower.

Hello,
When I first enter to Garbage area,I rescue some dude from bandits and he give me this quest.(Speaking with Gray)But unfortunately I kill the bandits and their leaderd before I speak with Gray.So the quest still there and I can't finish it.When I try to speak with him he dosn't say anything...
Failing this quest like this, will effect my game anyways?(Is it important to do this quest?)
Thanks...
