Earth Defense Force 2017-USA-XBOX360-DAGGER

The Earth Defense Force needs you! Planet Earth is under attack from alien invaders and the EDF is the only chance for survival. Earth Defense Force 2017 lands players on the front lines of an onslaught of alien invaders, with non-stop swarms of hundreds of enemies on screen at once. The arcade-style third-person shooter equips players with an arsenal of weapons, vehicles and loyal teammates in order to defeat a wide variety of attackers ranging from giant ants and spiders to robots and monsters standing more than 20 stories tall. Players have more than 150 weapon variations to choose from including assault rifles, rocket launches and flamethrowers and the support of AI-controlled Earth Defense Force teammates who will battle beside them throughout the game—players can also join forces in co-op mode and battle together. With more than 50 missions to complete and a seemingly endless barrage of attackers, the Earth Defense Force has their work cut out for them. Fighting within a wholly destructible environment where bridges, skyscrapers and other structures can just as easily be destroyed by friend or foe, players can either save their world or demolish it in the process.

* Epic Battles Against Hordes of Alien Invaders - Players will face off against a wide variety of attackers ranging from giant ants and spiders to robots and monsters standing more than 20 stories tall. With non-stop swarms of literally hundreds of enemies on screen at once, these chaotic battles are like nothing you have ever played.
* A Mighty Arsenal of Weapons of Mass Destruction - You will be armed to the teeth with an array of 7 types of destructive weapons with more than 150 variations - assault rifles, rocket launchers, flamethrowers, grenades and more.
* More Than 50 Missions - Engage the enemy in more than 50 all-out battles. Battle alongside your EDF squad through city streets, underground caves, coastal zones and more to repel the alien attackers on all fronts.
* Military Vehicles at Your Command - Take control of battle tanks, armored mechs, attack helicopters and hover bikes to help complete your mission.
* No Man Fights Alone - Though the odds may seem impossible, you are not alone. Fighting by your side are your AI controlled Earth Defense Force teammates. This crew of soldiers will fearlessly charge into battle and assist you throughout the game.
* Team-up For Victory - Join-up with a friend in co-op mode and work together to battle your way through the alien swarms.
* Completely Destructible Environments - As you battle the alien invaders stray shots will bring down skyscrapers, bridges and other structures. Will you cause more destruction than the invaders?

** WORKS ON NTSC & PAL NOT NTSC-J **

Could you imagine how much fun this game would be if it had a co-op system like crackdown!

wow, this game's a mixed bag review wise.
Gamespy gave it a 4/5 while IGN depicts a budget title...

its not bad, played the 1st mission of 54 against a load of giant ants, cannon fodder lol. Easy to play and no achievements till you complete the whole difficulty level of which there is 5 and they ain't stackable so doing hardest won't unlock easy achievements. To complete whole game with achievements i've seen 120 hours!

From only looking at it, it appears to be a game for 15 min when you're bored. The monsters seem like from old B-Movies Smile that's what should be fun about it.

You don't have to do a whole mission in Lost Planet! Why do so many people claim that?? In LP you can save whenever you want and you will start at the same level section when you load the game, not from the beginning of the mission!

That's spot on. It Is fun though.
The graphics are pretty cool at times.
Your main character's graphics are what kinda suck... but your so busy shooting stuff you rarely have time to notice heh.

When I first played this I thought "this sucks" but it does actually grow on you. Some of the robots are well drawn but the ants are lame and spiders are lame. 6.5/10

It's like a bad movie with awesome action/fight scenes. You have a few beers and you make fun of the horrible parts, and just enjoy the bad ass parts like shooting giant insects and robots. It's hard to describe, it's a hell of a lot of fun co-op though. In fact I say it's the only way to the play. The production value is horrible, it's pretty much a budget game, but like I said that's part of what makes it so great. It's not going to appeal to everyone, especially those looking for a tight, well designed action game. This is just pure mayhem with bad voice acting, and I love it.

It is a budget game in case you were wondering. It's selling for £25 over here, compared to £40-£45 for the latest games.

So it's a fair buy.

I quite like this game. The explosion after you kill one of those giant robots is insane, almost like a small nuke. Probably the best explosion i've ever seen in a game, or at least on a par with the MOAB from Mercenaries.

Actually I fucking love this game.

Me and my mate were taking on that 'walking fortress', OMG biggest enemy eva! It was an awesome experience. Then we had to take down godzilla! Very Happy

I'll admit the giant ants are a bit shit, but with the weapons I have now I wipe them out easily. The spiders are pretty cool though.
