I think is not the mini image, here using the unleashed one "SilentHunter4.mds" and didn`t work with that one either... is not the netshow image... I think they place something in the exe for detect yasu on ram...
ps: Vitality a 1.1 fix ASAP, please!

I bought SH3 but I knew instinctively not to buy SH4 so not I do not have retail. Like I said, I installed the patch from the UBI FTP listed on here, and then just started the game to check the rumours here. I don't use a mini-image I use the full DVD image and my YASU is not latest version either I don't believe.
I just checked again and it worked fine. This is the unleashed version I believe, the EMUDVD or something like that.

The game is mounted in daemon tools with all the emulation options checked as well. Other than that I don't know why it doesn't work for you guys as it starts up as usual for me along with the copy protection spinning disc thing at the start.

Perhaps those small details are key to made it work. During your patch-install, YASU was 'cloak'? Image was present in deamon as well?

I just got it to work! I'm not even entirely sure how either. I was just fucking around with different things. I disabled my actual DVD drive in the device manager and now it works!
I'm not sure if thats the reason because I did bunch of other shit too but all I know is now its working and before it wasn't.

hmmm..better, but still wont work. i enabled all emulation options like what Ispep said... and then started yasu and then tried the game. It now gets the cd spin icon and brings up error saying conflict with emulation software detected. This is with new yasu.
With older version of yasu that comes with the image. it dont do anything... just icon flash split second and nothing

Try NOT using YASU and disconnecting your IDE dvd drives (from BIOS preferably)

Sry for questioning, but you're aware we're trying to run game after patch?

Here is exactly what I did. not sure what actually made it work.
1. reinstalled SHIV + patch, with yasu on and enabled. Still nothing.
2. tried renaming the drives in the registry and disabling my dvd drive (like the ARMA trick), still nothing. then I changed it back to normal.
3. I changed the amount of drives in Daemon tools from 2 to 1, still nothing.
4. I switched back from 1 drive to 2 in Daemon tools. It then had me reboot the computer (maybe thats what it needed?)
5 I then disabled my dvd drive again in the device manager and tried without the disk mounted. I got an error so I mounted the disk without yasu, I got the error. I then enabled yasu with the disk mounted and then it worked!
Basically all I really did was disable the phyical DVD drive in the device manager and reboot the computer. then mount the image and enable yasu.

Yep...I'm running v1.1..
As for that (emulation conflict error) BloodAngel has it sounds like you have a program installed that SecuROM don't like i can get the exact same error with alcohol installed so i would look abit more into that..
