I actually bought this one a few days ago because I really enjoyed the demo, and am happy to finally see a Warhammer-based game that doesn't blow ass.
I enjoy the game a lot. The single player campaign is well done, with a good variety of missions that aren't simply 'build a base, destroy the enemy'. The 4 races (Space Marines, Orks, Chaos and Eldar) are well balanced, and offer plenty of strategic options. The unit models look great, and there are a lot of different animations that are used during combat, to give the combat a more cinematic feel. Zooming in close and observing the battles, they look fantastic and are very dynamic, with units flying all over the place. The multiplayer component is pretty well done, although it still feels like playing warcraft or starcraft somewhat; though i've personally never been a fan of RTS multiplayer. Only 20 MP maps ship with the retail version, and the map editor is still fourthcoming. I'm sure Relic will make good on it.
Overall, i would give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Stepped away from the comp for an hour and look what the gracious and kind people over at VENGEANCE have done: OH MY F*ING GAWD ! ! ! !     
This is actually a *special* RTS because the WarHammer40k community is sooo massive that tonnes of excellent mods are in-transit LONG BEFORE the beta had started!
The game itself is brillant and bloody fun! Damn.. I just downed the German 3CD release too and lookie looky! Oh man.. This could just be one bloody damn fine fall season!

The game is awesome with one problem: It's too fucking short! It lasts roughly 12-15 hours and there's only 10 missions. I wish it had a campaign as long as Warcraft 3's or Starcraft's.
The good part, though, is how easily moddable the game is, so expect a bunch of user made campaigns to come out for this game.

ok tried the full thing..
My opinion stays.. this game aint nothing special.. its not bad by any means.. but it wont come in the top 10 games of this year.
Say maybe 7.5 outta 10... 8 at the MAX

as far as rts go this game is great but the big turnoff is that you only play as one race in the short single player campaign and the other 3 races are only playable on skirmishes

Only 10 missions? Really? And then also no multiplayer cause of CD key check.

I have never...played such an awesome game in a good while since the Rise of nations expansion. The battles are ..in one word intense. Breathtaking. From the sound of roaring bullets,to cannon fire flaring through the sky in a distance..it is amazing. Not to mention when units are hit by devasting weapons,you can actually see bodies shredded and torn from the impact of such weapons. I now understand why individuals enjoy this game.

I've played a little, and this is game is good. I like the battles, they are full of detail and action, and really represent the warhammer world.
The game is stabel and fun, I recommend to everyone;)
