DjPelle postet God of War 2 Re-Worked Ps2 DVD5 ....... nfo-> http://www.binsearch.info/viewNFO.php?oid=15911270&server= .. made with cheops ripkit for normal mode screen.. this is roughly the same as his earlier release but uses the fixed rip kit so cutscenes are correct... also the vids are in a even higher quality than his first release.. note this release is near identical the the IND, the vids are a tiny amount less downsampled than the IND (IND=70% djpelle rework 72.5%)
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

homemade.. he either used retail or echelon version then used the guide posted on afterdawn forums to shrink it to a dvd5.
some people have had problems shrinking it but afaik he didn't and this release has been confirmed to work till the end.

this is annoying.... using the dts version and whever i boot it up with sm 3.6 it just hangs at the "sony computer entertainment presents" screen

Fuck! I have patched the dvd9 release with toxic patcher and burnt it on a 2.4 dvd+r dl and game works without problems till you acquire spear of destiny.At "Crossing the Lowlands" part the game freezes. I wasted 3 dvd+r dl's. All of them freeze : ( . Damn. Guess i better download one of the dvd5 releases.

I am using the DjPelle 1st release (there's also a re-worked one) and it's fine. Movie quality is good.
However, did I miss any cut scenes? I didn't spot anything unusual...
Cut scenes are messed up only if you choose WS mode??

I tried this game right now. I have the 4GB big release, don't know from what group!
Should there be an intro movie? When i pressed "new game" the main manu background movie continued, a women said something and I was in the game in 5 seconds.
And by the first big boss I jump on the catapult, press 4 times square, Kratos hits him in the eye and Kratos jumps off, the screen goes black and then it says you' re dead.

you probably got DVD5 RIP where they ripped Bonus movies

It works now. I played for 3 hours, without any problems.
I turned off wide screen and this solved my problem.
Videos are there but with lower quality.
Superb game.

Well on mine both God of War original wasnt working on my slim and my friend had the same problem on his fat. The guy at EB Games told me it was a common problem with DVD9 on some PS2s
and scarfacew3, glad to fix your problem cause this is one wonderful game
