KeyserSoeze, i dont know dude, the freedom fighters take me out rather easly if i try to fight more than 3 at once. But i do have 5 artifacts on the belt, i'll try to play without them. |
Why bother answer to me then??
This is a forum, RIGHT?
I was typing what I "feel" about this game,, a game that I like sometimes but hate sometimes..
And when people like you, say that we are "noobs" or must "run & gun" because you Mr Perfect aim like a god... then I get pissed off.
I like this game,, but like I said it have some really annoying flaws, like some sidemissions can´t be completed,, see the Gamespot review for facts.
Ok,, your time, so that you can reach your 2000 post this year,, (Oops sry,, wrong guy,, I am even lamer then U.. on the posting I meant )

Hmm i dont recall calling you a noob, and run and gun is a tactic i used sucesfully many times in cs and other games. I was just wondering how you play to empty your mag into someone and not kill them, but for them to kill you in one shot. And saying something about postcount is childish, it does aboslutly nothing, i dont live my life for the purpose of raising my post count. ANd i do agree with gamespot reviews, no one here said the game was perfect, it has a lot to improve. And if you take gamespot as a fact why are you complaining about firefights as gamespot clearly states "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. features one of the best ballistics models ever seen in a game, and as a result, firefights feel authentic as you try and hit someone with what can be a wildly inaccurate rifle"
KeyserSoeze. Lol i have no idea if the +health artifacts work. The sprint one does because i can see that i can run for longer, but there is no sign for the health so i really dont know. And freedoms are hard to fight, they have pretty good guns, and they shoot acuratly. You can also join them and fight against duty. When you get to the freedom base, right after the bridge go to the left in one of the barracks, in there you can find the silenced sniper rifle.

Maybe my gun pipe is crooked, and thats why I miss all the shots..
And for the postcount, I was joking,, maybe bad joke, but still.

i found this:
"tried this game with full dynamic lighting originally, and it ran like a slideshow.
I have a P4 3.0 and a 7800GTX and 1 gig of ram.
I switched to static lighting, and it ran super smooth.
The problem was that the entire atmosphere was gone.
So i messed with the graphic settings and i have found that there is a way to
get that same smooth frame-rate with full dynamic lighting.
First, you have to play the first level with static. For some reason this level lags no matter what.
After the first level, everything changes. I turned on Full dynamic lighting and got smooth frame-rates for the
rest of the game. Also, i found that turning "V-synch" drastically improved the choppiness that i was originally experiencing.
Last, turn down the texture detail to about half-way. This also should help.
With these settings i got great performance out of my 7800GTX.
So, with "V-synch" enabled, texture detail lowered, and also, anti-alising lowered to half-way, i was able to get the same exact frame-rate i had with static lighting enabled"

So, is it true what I've read about the performance of this game?
That if you have ATI and dual core you're out of luck?

I haven't tried the multiplayer as I haven't bought the game yet - but it doesn't seem that enticing to me without at least some of the RPG elements, not an MMO but some sort of persistence and variation. CS style weapon purchasing doesn't quite cut it for me.
Deathmatch games are a dime a dozen, and as a standalone shooter there are better options out there than what I imagine this to be on-line.

so a question: does this gauss or a very good sniper rifle can be found near x18 lab area? |
watch him walk into the building while looking through your binocs and he will start talking. Says something about how he gave the money to the poor, and if you enter the building they will gun you down.

OOOOoookay... I started playing again and now I am at the army warehouses level, and the duty and freedom guys are fighting each other despite that they can't see each other... btw, has anyone ever noticed that the enemy AI can see through the walls when they stand close enough? Happened me several times at thet research institute level that the soldiers have instead of been scanning the surroundings they've been following a wall, looking into it.. very weird...

You are missing the fucking point. 4 shots from a shotgun is supposed to take down any man from like a 2 inch distance get it? its not about aiming cuz u cant miss from that distance its the GAME not us. And as to guns being realistic? FUCK NO!

Must be something you're doing wrong, I only need a few bullets to kill people with a rifle, and with a shotgun if you get close enough it's one shot one kill.
