					| I'm on a 8800 GTX and can't get AA to work. How did you guys manage to get it working? I tried everything using the control panel and/or ingame options using 97.92 and 100.95 Forceware drivers. No luck yet. Help would be appreciated!

					| We should see a patch soon as the game actually launched today.
Has anyone managed to stop the vista crashes yet?

 Anyone else getting this problem?
This crash occurs without any crack. With Vitality the game dont even crash. It just attempts to starts and then its gone. No error message. Just shuts down.

 Anyone?

Just a slight update on this problem.
Yesterday I did a reinstall of my graphic drivers and the game itself. I started it without a crack and it worked! I played for 3-4 hours with numerous restarts of the game. All was well.

Then I booted up my comp this morning after it having been shut down during the night and what do you know.
Same error as before the reinstall. wont work. And there is NOTHING diffrent between now and yesterday. Only a 8 hour downtime on my box. and a google on the problem gives me nothing.

 Just great

					| Yep everything is working fine except when it rains I get lots of artifacts. I think it might be a driver issue, but Im not gonna change them right now cause I like my current drivers (93.71)...

D:\Users\Public\Documents\STALKER-SHOC
 and I copied it to
 C:\Documents and Settings\*\Mes documents\STALKER-SHOC
 and
 C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Mes documents\STALKER-SHOC

but it didn't help... anyone have an idea?

Well, after i quit the game and restarted again, the rain gfx problem was gone. But i have to much swapping i think, yeah i know that 1 gig of isn't much, but i'm running the game at medium details and the framerate is ok. Hope this is something that can be fixed in a patch cause i'm able to run Oblivion very well in high details and that looks way better than medium settings in Stalker.

					| Game runs just fine on my computer and I've been able to play for hours without crashes until now. Right now when i fight/run around in the area called "Garbage" I keep getting crashes to windows, I've been to the area many times before but I never had any crashes before. If anyone has had the same problem and maybe a solution, I would be very grateful.

					| This game seems like it would be pretty cool. The problem I am having is that just randomly the game freezes up. The furtherest I have gotten is where I get my first gun. I have turn the settings down as low as I possibly could, turned off that eax sound shit, and have used both releases (Unleashed and Vitality). I am fixing to go try to mess with the lighting settings like a few people have mentioned. Does anyone have any other suggestions I could possibly use? Thanks. Here are my system specs:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
 Intel Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz 3000.1 Mhz
 1GB DDR2 Ram
 Radeon X1600 Series 512MB Ram
 SigmaTel Audio

I am going to try and update every possible driver I have also. I think they are all current, but I'll give anything a try. Thanks in advance everyone.

					| maybe we should wait untill friday when the game hits the stores i think that the problem is that this is a clone release and something is missing in the game i have allso tried on of the versions and i got a blue stop screen form my system about the gfx card but my gfx card is the best you can get for dx9 a g-force 7950 gx2 with 1gig of mem
i have no problems with any other games that requiers an high-end gfx card
this is the first one and this is a clone release
 my spec.
 g-force 7950 gx2 1024 mb ram
 Am2 dualcore x2 5600+ 2.8ghz
 2 gig memory dual channel

so i think we sould wait untill there comes a stable release of this game or go out and buy the original one in the shops

					| The GFW podcast this week confirmed that the devs know there are vista "issues" and are actively working on it.
In the meantime, going back to the DX8 renderer stopped every single one of my crashes, incluing the quicksave one too.
