I'm using the Razer Diamondback atm, all I can say is this thing is fuckin NICE in FPS, compared to others I've used I actually got better at aiming. My buddy has the Logitech G5 and loves it as well.

I have the Razer Diamondback and the Microsoft Habu.. Personally the Habu wins as it combines the comfort of an MS designed mouse with the internals and firmware/drivers of a Razer.. Razers typical design uses really odd side buttons, they're almost useless which is a huge shame (BTW, the Habu is for right handers only).. The on-board memory and interchangeable buttons help too!

Diamondback < Copperhead < Habu

(the Habu is basically a Copperhead in an MS mouse body..)

Yes, Diamondback and Copperhead are THE best mice especially when coupled with good pro-gamer pads.

Weird, I find the side buttons comfortable, I think it depends on how you hold the mouse and the size of your hand. They have the ones on the other side of the mouse in case your left handed, you change the buttons around.

I use windows drivers for my razor but I'll check really quick

from the drivers on the disk you can only change the sensitivity and enable on the fly sensitivity so guess not.

I go for the Microsoft Habu Gaming Mouse Smile there is a button to change the DPI.

Quote:
Customizable Buttons
Two removable side button panels give you options for different hand sizes or preferences, and all seven buttons are programmable—store up to five profiles in mouse memory.

#
High Speed Sensitivity Switching
Adjust mouse sensitivity on the fly—up to 2000 DPI – for controlled sensitivity. The default is 800 DPI but is adjustable from 400, 800, 1600 to 2000 DPI with the toggle buttons.

#
High-speed motion detection
Gamers get their speed on with movements up to 45-inches per second, 20-G acceleration and more than 7080 frames per second.

#
16 bit Data Path and 1000 Hz Ultrapolling
Habu™ has a 16 bit data path for increased bandwidth with high-sensitivity mouse activity. Increased data path improves response time.

#
Superior Response Time
With an always-on laser that delivers near-zero-lag response time.

#
Mouse Glide
Habu™ has ultra-slick Teflon® to provide smooth and quiet gliding.

#
Ergonomic Design
A right handed comfort design allows slip-resistant grip with rubber-coated buttons for improved comfort for long hours of gaming.

#
Wired Mouse
Wired for faster performance.

I got a G5 and I'm very happy with it, it's fast and fits my hand perfect. I'm not using the weights that comes with the mouse, feels so unnecessary.

The Diamondback does have DPI switching doesn't it? Its in the config application and you can set a button to do it, I used to have it setup so I could change on the fly during FPS games.. Don't bother anymore though..

Using the Logitech G7 myself. It's a great mouse but I find the whole DPI changing to be pointless for my needs (and it wastes two perfectly good buttons on the mouse). Find a sensitivity and DPI level your comfortable with and stick with it! The only place I can see it of being use is in games where sniping is critical but I don't know of any.

How about the Logitech G3? Not as expensive as the others and it doesn't have all those silly features you don't really need anyway AAnd! you can use it with your left hand as well Smile

We had this discussion before many o times but don't matter. G5 the one and only for me. Killed, shot, bombed, sunk, maimed, surfed, slashed, hacked, clicked and scrolled with my G5 to the point its almost time to buy a new one Wink. The color on the left mouse btn is almost non existent...G5 the one and only.

Yup its a treat, sometimes I use them on my nipple clamps Razz
Na but really, its the best mouse out there IMHO. The weights gives it that extra touch of quality.

The battery in the wireless G7 doubles up as the same thing Wink

I like to move my mouse around a lot (I have an L shaped desk) and make room for steering wheels and joysticks and coursework so a wireless solution has become second nature. It's also very handy when you don't have track-ir and want to use a 'natural' freelook easily and conveniently.

But I imagine the G5 is just as good at what it does, I simply detest wired mice and couldn't go back.
