The purpose of the open/closed beta was purely to stress test the server(s).

In every development cycle of a game you have to reach a point whereby you have to stop adding content and get the game ready for release.

If you had the choice now would you delay the game for a further few months just to have your changes added ?

Alternatively you could channel your frustration by trying to work out if you can mod the game in anyway to add in custom models.

What changes did you expect? For it to run at 100 fps with HDR on your shitty computer and a whole new island?
It was an open beta, and open betas usually are closest thing to store retail.
