Well call me a noob cuz this might be a stupid question, but i would like to know what makes an original key different from a warez key. I mean if i have a Clone game with a keygen, then im still not able to play online with the generated key. The keygen prolly generates their keys with an exact method, but how come it still wont work even if the method is already known.. do they have 2 methods to identify a key or what? or they blacklist that method? pls if somebody knows the answer enlight me up thx

The game publishers usually have databases of the retail keys. Keygen generated keys are random. rgds Sabalasa

hm that makes sense so since the keygens are generating with a method, its possible (with a huge amount of LUCK ) it will generate a key that is in the publishers db too?

actually it worked for me for starcraft (without keygen but with randomly hammering the keyboard) but i think i used all my luck for this life

I also think theres someone else on this board that got a legit key like twice from using a keygen on different games.

Key algorithm can be in 2 parts, one used by installer and other only verified by online side. You can reverse the installer one but you can't reverse the online server one and make keygenerator
