Mobo? Your going almost all out with that rig why don't you just get a 680i board instead of the lower end one?

4 12v rails at 18A each. Plenty of power.
If your gonna get a single GTX get a smaller monitor, if your gonna get 2 then I suppose that 3007WFP would work great for a while to come. I don't see a single 8800GTX playing some of the next gen games comfortably at 2560x1920 or whatever that things res is. |
That is a 680I board.
Or did you mean a higher end one? If you have a suggestion on a different mobo, I am all ears.
Maybe instead of the 30 inch, I will opt for a 24 inch or something along those lines.
To be honest... I really want a 30 inch but it is more for e-pennis reasons than anything else really.

ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
It's labeled on your post as a 650i.

That's the board your talking about. If it is then that's a great board, the only other choices anyway are the eVGA mobo's and the striker which is $400+!
Grab that 30 if you really want a big ass screen. If your determined on 2 GTX's then you'll be fine running it at it's native res for quite a while.
But if you do go for both 8800's the PSU Spyke linked to might be a better choice. You don't want a single component to be the weak link. You might wanna OC that E6600 too because the gains with those cards in SLi are very nice.

The next line of 8 series are looking to be launched around when ATi releases it's X2900XTX or whatever. It's said that March 30th is when the card is hardlaunching so we should be seeing more news on the 8900GTX soon since it has to come out by May.

In that case, I may wait till the next gen come out so those 8800 drop in price. No sense in spending a ton of money if they will drop quite a bit in 3 or 4 months.
I know I will be a gen behind... but I think it would still be quite a while before Ill need to upgrade my graphics cards running 2 8800 GTX's in SLI mode dont you?
