i had the german version of this game, and it rocks! GFX are best of any isometric RTS ever. One of the best gfx of any game in 2004 imho. Gameplay is NOT simplistic, it requires a LOT of strategy. It is aslo one of the hardest games ever made i reckon.

Yeah, 1.04 was buggy, but 1.06 is much better. Cant really compare with ShoWW2, this is more arcade. Very enjoyable, excellent gfx and easy to get-into. Highly recommended! Smile (9/10 from me Wink)

You probably refer to the diary entries in the german campain. IIRC it in facts states that there were polish attacks on Germany, but those were staged by german propagandists (the most prominet is probably the "Attack on Sender Gleiwitz"). The game never claims it was Poland that started WWII, it's just that the German soldier, who wrote the diary, believed the prograganda.

mmm Yeah, that makes sense. Since, if you view real history you will see that's what really happend. Nazi propoganda made up that Poland are attacking radio stations across the border, so many germans saw it like they are under attack.

hmm so i have to play it by myself to check what is true and what is not. I heard only what they said in television, not only that Poland attacked germans, but also according to game Poles are just bunch of fuckin loosers , cowards, and thiefs...that`s why i`m so abused bout this game. Evil or Very Mad

See, not only the Germany back then were subject to propaganda Smile
I have played the game and can't remember where the Poles were portrayed like that.
Furthermore the game was developed by a Hungarian developer, not a German one. I can't see why Hungarians would want to distort history like that, as they as well suffered from German agression during WW 2.

see it this way: in german newspapers you can weekly find articles about poland complaining the evil neighbour is still at large and not less evil than it was in the period of nazi-germany. There was big suffering on both sides and countless civilian casualties. The nazis first fucked german citizens and shortly after that the whole europe. They abused the country and promised to bring back the pride lost after WW1 because of the treaty of Versailles. So many years later there are still people all over the world who refuse to overcome this making the politics of tomorrow. I never experienced this time and all i know is that 5 of 6 brothers my grandfather had died because of the war. The grandmother on my mothers side was raped by british soldiers and their home was destroyed by bombing runs. The hole village on the border to the netherland lied in ruins as well as the whole country itself. Her husband, my other grandfather luckily survived the war in soviet captivity. He was one of very few who did it and still woke up crying when i was a child and spend a night at his home. He told me once that war is a thing noone should experience, because it´s the playground of evil.
Don´t take it personally. The newspapers tore the Panzers story apart and ripped pieces out of the context to make propaganda and misdirect unsatisfaction on others. Who could be more suitable than the bad neighbor in the west?!? Smile You see this is pointless. I never had any differences with poles and you should also give no attention to those who just want the people to misread.

back to the topic: The game is fantastic and despite Soldiers is a good game i prefer Panzers alot. Coop is fun, you shoud check it out Smile

This game is great, finally a good world war II RTS. With regards to nazi propaganda, its part of the "experience" like weed is to the vietnam war
we shouldn't close our eyes to things klike that and pretend it never happened because it did, and only by remembering can we prevent it from happening again. Exclamation

i played it for few hours so far and yes this game is nice. not something uber eleet special, but a nice ww2 rts game. very smoth and fun to play Smile

No, I mean for example the tanks, each side of the tank has it's own defence points, so if one side is blow up you can just turn your tank on the other side and it would be like a new one...that's crap.

mmh, yeah, that sounds a bit screwed up. Althouhg i dont mind stuff like that as the gaming experience as a whole is fun and not too obviously non-realistic/shitty

this is a fun game. realistic or not, it is fun!!! and the models are detailed unlike other rts games. nice graphics and fun gameplay, what more can you ask???

Hmm i belive third mission on allied side when u paradrop in and have to collect yhour three sqauds, well i cant. I can get all but 2 of them even after the allied invasion is done with, must be a bug cause i cant progress without them...

Ok I just started playing, I’m in the german campaign in the 3rd mission, I think it’s "siege of warsaw" or something like that.

Well I am supposed to arrest the guy that is in charge, but he locked himself in and I can’t find a ‘something’ to open the door with (I would just go for the ‘tank blow that up there’ option, but they won’t let me Wink ).
The Mission objective says ‘look in other houses’ but the entire surrounding area has been leveled by my artillery and I can’t find anything in the others…

Does anybody know where I can find ‘something’ to open the stupid door with in that mission?

If Ambasade you will have in left/down corner, then a man with key will be at down/right corner.
Look into map. There are blue circles with mission objectives.
