vista blows. i'll wait a year for the DRM and crap to get stripped out, and only if there is a group of dx10 games that are must haves. crysis supports dx9
ARMA is fantastic - the mission editor alone has kept its predecessor - Operation Flashpoint - on my hard drive since the day I bought it years and years ago. the only fuckup in OFP was the afterthought multiplayer which they blamed on microsoft. Can't wait to try multi in this version and be able to join IN PROGRESS games!

Yeah who the fuck has the patience to give this game time.. and they wonder why game piracy is so high when games comes out half finished and needs 10 patches afterwards all 200mb each.. reminds me of Boiling Point a game that could be awesome but terrible and worthless coded. not even one hundred patches would fix that game.

If you can't appreciate the game as it stands then it's simply not for you. Many of us dream of this kind of game and there isn't anything else like it out there - thus we are happy to at least play something resembling it.
It's not as buggy as people say however.
Name the bugs that are ruining your enjoyment.

i havent checked that out yet..but if its ANYTHING like operation flashpoint you can set up servers(ie nevermind cd keys) and play/host your own homemade missions |
Could anyone please check if you can play this game in LAN-mode without a connection to the Internet?

did you,perchance *pay* for it?
if not..STFU
i DID pay for it (even tho its not here yet) so i d/led it..and i think its fine..pretty much the same as operation flashpoint was when it was released (yes..i bought it too)
but TBH...the game isnt out that long..give it time |
If theres a lesson to be learned from these forums it's to not tell people who haven't bought a game to stfu, now I'm all for buying games, but this isn't the exactly the forum where you'll find people buying games, most people come here to discuss "scene" releases.

Nice game. Surprised me actually, thought it might be an unpolished buggy mess but it isn't. This is actually a game that needs More hype than it's getting and that is rare.
The graphics are nice for the type of game it is, a hardcore military simulation. On my rig it plays nice with everything maxed@1680x1050 as long as I disable the highest shadow mode, self shadows seem to lag like a bitch. Besides that runs nice. Can't wait for some more optimizations in the patches so I can play with more antialiasing and such. The number of controls I need to map is also a minor complaint but guess I'll get over it.
I am hoping that the community supports this game as much as the orig OFP, I remember some truly awesome maps and mods with that game. I remember spending many hrs completing campaigns in lots of theaters with a realism that seems up till now unmatched. Looking forward to more of that with this one.

You have to have the image MOUNTED with the latest version of d-tools AND have YASU enabled to hide the virtual drives and the game will run just fine (if your pc can handle it).
anyways, I've used the cd key generator and it doesn't work for me online, I get invalid cd key with some random letters and stuff, it's a different set of numbers or letters each time...I didn't actually expect it to work but it said it would in the nfo.
The game rocks, I enjoyed OPF back in the day and this is pretty much the same thing with alot better grahpics and more modern to todays weaponry.

Are you sure you have the PROCYON release?
did you change or replace the original .exe file that came with the PROCYON release?
did you make sure your YASU is v1.07?
if you answered: yes, no, and yes and the game still won't work then God hates you and you must die.

I loved OFP.
I like this game as well. But I have ran into some irritating bugs.
On 2nd mission of campaign, (SPOILER POSSIBLY TO SOME)
After defeating the first wave of enemy and then when they attempt to flank, I was ordered to board a 4x4 vehicle located in another part of the map. When I got there, I sat... what seemed like forever while the AI people were being called for to board the same vehicle. THAT was annoying as hell because they were all laying on the ground a small distance away from said vehicle. BUT, despite that... I think it is fun. Definitely not for everyone though. It certainly isn't a typical action shooter people are most likely familiar with. But it is fun for me.

Is it multilanguage?
Does it run better then the demo? If not my vote for this game is 0/100.

Didn't encounter any bugs when I tested it, though I only played for 15 minutes. It runs smooth, but I am not surprised, because it looks mediocre.
