I bought a vga hd av cable from play-asia and I was not getting any sound. I went into the system setup and I dont see the "Analog audio" option any more. I can swear it was there sometime back or at least when I bought the system. I never had to go back in there till now. Is this a bug? I noticed a few threads on xbox.com about this but no resolution...

how are you connecting your audio? as vga is video only and doesnt carry audio... i personally use optical to my 5.1 setup intel i7 3770k @4.4, ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, 16GB Corsiar Vengance 1600 ram, ATI 5850 BE, Antec 1 Case, Antec 1 550W PSU, emu0404, 120gb agility3 ssd OS, 2x60gbvertex2raid0 Games, 3 TB total sata2 Data. win7 x64.

the vga cable has regular RCA red and white connectors which I plugged into the audio in ports in the TV...is there any other way. I dont have anything that can take optical in

i had both joytech and m$ vga cables and no problems with audio maybe cable is fooked

My MS Vga cable is also working perfectly, i just had to buy an adapter for the audio inputs because my tv only has a single rca input.

Mine works fine (its a GAME brand vga I think).. I have to use my PC's audio in to work it though..

lol...that was it...I had an adpter lying around to connect to the pc in and it works now, somehow sound seems lower than with component. I need the component for my wii though.
