No, I think it's a DX10-only title, so no XP patch...

You will see heavy benefits from this game if you are running DX10, though. Same with running dual/quad core over single core. Very Happy

Halo 2 is Vista only but not dx10, tho making a xp patch is alot simpler tehn dx10 is not in there.

That's sooo impressive. Not. Seriously. ghost recon already had that feature like 5 years ago. If you got your clothes wet it would realistically show up on your clothes. Same with metal gear solid: snake eater. If you wade or crawl through mud or water your clothes get realistically covered with mud and water.

First of all it is obvious that those are pictures taken by a camera pointed at the monitor. I highly doubt that is anything but low-medium settings.

Amen. Vista blows performance wise for gaming, with 18-30% decreases in FPS depending on which title you look at. Until DX10 games start coming out mainstream - then it may be worth it. Will still be a hard sell imo.

Yeah, ill wait until dx10 is released. I see no reason to have Vista. Iv got Ultimate on a 2.8ghz just to check it out. Vista will be mainstream some day, thats for sure. But lots of programs aren't compatible yet...

You have no idea what you are talking about.

As it stands now:

ATI - Their released good drivers, performance across MOST games is just as good if not better than on XP.
http://firingsquad.com/hardware/windows_vista_performance_amd_catalyst_7.1/

nVidia - Their Drivers are just bad. Performance across most games has taken a hit. About 10 to 15% more in specific cases.
http://firingsquad.com/hardware/windows_vista_nvidia_forceware_performance/

Vista itself has little affect the performance of the game. So please research more, trash talk less.

Nope its true, sadly. Nvidia needs to do some serious work on their drivers, especially the vista ones. And really the dx10 thing is no excuse, just running dx9 games is shitty and full of crashes and glitches which I havent heard from the ati camp(with non-beta whql drivers). So yeah they need work. Nvidia makes some truly awesome hardware but their software just bites lately.
