Well the game was already installed, i just switched my GF7900Top with a GF8800GTX and this is the result. Oblivian works and alot of other games. Just splinter cell chaos theory doesnt want to work. It starts and then when it should go to the Ubisoft movie, it crashes.

The crack was already installed from before, so i have no idea whats causing this.

Well if you find it then reinstall the game, apply 1.5 patch, then 1.5 crack and then the crackfix.

well, cant find any patch called 1.5, but i guess you mean 1.0.5, but that was already installed, so that aint the problem. But hopefully there will be a patch then for GF8800 cards.

Thnx anyway

This worked with SCDA
Quote:
Was dicking around looking for a solution and found this on a German site
"change in SplinterCell4 (DT shortcut) Target
"C:\Programme\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent\SCDA-Offline\System\SplinterCell4.exe" -ll-lowrestex

Then the game should start.

Don't like the bit with the "lowrestex" but will give it a go now. Its either this or wait i guess.

EDIT! Yup this works!, runs so smooth, can't really say I have any artifacts or wierd graphics. The game looks like with the 7800GTX, but BETTER! and smoother!
Maybe worth a try.

1. Right click on the shortcut to the game on the desktop( if you have it there) I don't have it installed anymore so i use another game to show you

2.Click...I think it says "Preferences" in my case "Eigenschaften" cause i have a German ver of XP.

3.Its says "ZIEL" in my case cause i have a German ver of XP, in your case it should say "TARGET"

I think it might look something like this:

"C:\Programme\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent\SCDA-Offline\System\SplinterCell3.exe"

Now just add this to that line:

-ll-lowrestex ( with a space after the " )

Should now look like this

"C:\Programme\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent\SCDA-Offline\System\SplinterCell3.exe" -ll-lowrestex

Not sure if it will work but it does work for Double Agent. I might add I am using the latest "Official NV" driver "97.92" made for the 8800GTS/GTX

Yes, like quepasa2 said, it seems to be a driver problem. I have to wait for the next drivers from nVidia. But i saw that the game should work with the latest drivers under Vista. Maybe its time to buy Vista?
