Curesecurom did the trick for me. Tried Uncle Marts method.. no go, burnt image as per Epsilons instructions ....didn't work. Then used curesecurom, deleted some securom crap out of my computer and my burnt image now works all the time with Daemontools RMPS emulation on and yasu.

Last time a workaround was found here it was posted all over the internet. I'm not interested in that.

"Jumping on the "Haha I'm a funny asshole"- train"
Yes, I also know how to do it now, the only thing you have to do is send FnF a PM with the correct password and he will tell you how to do.
The correct password is "Hello fudgepacker!"

I will give my review, of the installation.
The lack of install screens and cool music sort of left me down.
I mean, if I can't actually play the game.. At least they could show me a few hi-res concept art pictures, and excite me with some alien-sounding death metal music. Show me what I'm missing, make me work harder than trying for 8 hours to get this game workng.
If anyone has an easy way to do this and wouldn't mind PM'ing... I really really really need to get this game working. I'm moving tomorrow morning and will have no internet connection and nothing to do for a week. Please and thank you.
Tried mounting with alcohol, daemon tools, burning with RPMS, YASU, SecureRom, the "move file" trick (think dual-core screws that up?), unplugged dvd drive, sd4hide, sr7 stop, many different settings on everything... And still no go. I'm about to try changing some of the registry values and see if anything comes from that.
Where is Defiance when you need them.
On a positive note.. I'm glad to see so much interest in this game!
The last one at release had the same issues (But with Starforce!) and I think I had to wait a few weeks for a Defiance release. There was no one really interested in Aftershock though as far as I remember, or Aftermath. So the company has been doing something right!
EDIT: HOLY MOLY I JUST GOT IT TO WORK WOO.
The probelm was I was copying it, and not opening the .exe right away after.. Have to do them real fast, drag next to the exe and open the exe fast.
