Got it from another site...and it works too. |
I can't believe that actually worked... but it did
Took me a couple of tries though, thanks alot for the tip.

Is this the error that you got when it failed? Did you just keep trying?

Woot, the 'copy to desktop' method worked. Just to clarify:
- mount image
- install
- YASU
- copy large file from MOUNTED CD (not physical/burned, which is what I was doing)
- while copy is in progress try to run game.
Make sure you don't have any CDs in your drive ( in case you've already tried burning ).

I'm doing exactly as you say.. The game is installed, I run YASU, I start copying data2.cab, from the mounted (with DT 4,08) game to the desktop and immediately run the shortcut the game install created... It doesn't work. It just says that I should insert the original disc.

Also try with the different data files... |
What ver of DT do you have?
DT emulation on or off?
How many drives have you got with DT?
What drive have you installed the game to C:?

Well, using Uncle_Mart's idea, posted on his original site, it works for me every time. I thinks that, yes, in order for the mds to be read properly, the PC needs to be slowed down, using as much cpu power/drive speed as possible(dunno wich one yet). So, either a bad mds, or SR7 has some new features in it, verifying the speed of the drive(or the loading of the cpu) also. Either way, Procyon must have some really crappy PC's if this game ran for them every time without using any slowing down tricks...

Ive tried copying TWO files at once still cant get it to work , maybe my dual core is too fast for it lol |
I managed to run it 2 times (out of 20 maybe more). But the "copy" thing (1,2 or 3 files) usually doesnt work. And I have a dual core too although I doupt there is any connection

Burned with rmps works here 9 out of 10 times. It's a bad mds therefore you get the error could not verify the disk within time limit ect. sometimes. Don't forget to enable rmps in alcohol or daemon and mount the image in daemon. If you still get a securom error just use latest yasu or change drive letters in mounted devices.
