works for me also with an Microsoft USB mouse but very badly. i can't shoot shit in target practice. So i still play with my gamepad

Damn game...HOW the fuck can they release a game with the buttons 1, 2, 3 ingame, and the Key Config doesnt even show you those numbers... ???...
And ingame its "press 3 for sprint" WTF ???

Yup if you want to have fun and not be frustrated each time you gotta press combination of buttons, get a gamepad, its cheap and X1000^100 times better than a keyboard. At one level later, you gonna have to press combinations every 30 seconds or so to dodge roofcrawling bastard. He is fast, and combinations change. (It's usually 5+6, or 1+3) but still you gotta be fast.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

Yep.
I tried a bit with the keyboard just for fun and it's absolutely horrible even though i'n pretty sure that with some practive it's probably playable.Still doesn't beat a gamepad though , especially once your used to the controls (aiming in particular) 
Btw , i'm on my second run through the game except that this time on Professional.I thought that the game was quite easy on normal but now it'a much better.Enemies are harder to kill and they also hurt more.Ammo management is now much more important (it was on normal too somehow but to a lesser extent) and the need to run - avoid/dodge too.
Can't wait to face that giant to see how much tougher he is

wtf... moving and aiming on one stick.... wft again!!!
why it cant just be... moving on left stick, aiming on right... like in all others tps or fps on consoles..

Yup professional is the way to go. Tho I just wish they let you keep/buy the chicago typewriter and other special weapons you got from winning it the first time around. Would help the gameplay stay fresh. I made it to the part where you hook up with 'the president's daughter' and face all those evil priest dudes. At that point I got bored/frustrated so I quit.

It's a small program created by someone to enable mouse aiming and firing in RE4. It looks good from what I see. Not a virus.
I don't have the game so someone else would have to check this out.

Just go here and grab the latest version directly, at the moment that version is 1.2.1.
(Still haven't tested it since I'm getting used to the keyboard controls, aside from the gallery shooting wich is rather difficult without proper aim)

Sweet, thanks for the info. Going to grab the game now that it doesn't sound like I'd be better off installing my gamecube guts into my pc and playing it that way. And agreed, if its that easy capcom should have at least put an Optional mode into the game, IMO. BTW, anyone know a cheat/trainer/whatever to unlock professional mode?
