Is Windows Vista anygood? like better than Windows Xp? because i was thinking of getting it but im not sure.

I had it installed for 2 days.
If you like the eye candy - i think it is an absolute must have (Given all your hardware is properly supported)
Security may be an issue to look at if you are not "computer-savvy" - Imho i found it annoying.

Some things were really cool:
* I really liked the search bar in the start menu
* Eye candy looked good
* Programmers POV: Driver Model

I did not like:
* Always bothering me for allowing things ... (can be disabled)
* Unfinished driver support (especially Lacking openGL 2.0 support by ATI for coding projects)

All in all ... Vista may be an great OS if your PC can handle it (mine has 2 Gigs of ram And ATI X1950 Pro) still i will wait some more until all my hardware is supported by vista.

Yup, huge problem with drivers. I'm going to wait till SP1 for Vista is out, then i might install it.

Well I've got it dual booted with xp. I hardly use Vista because my joystick which just happens to be a Microsoft joystick isn't supported. Nor will it ever be as it uses the old game port connector.
