If you combine them you can get a higher price, other than that there is nothing special...

By the looks of the game it should work, but who knows how the optimized it. There is nothing DX9 about the game.
Well nm, i just looked at the readme "Microsoft(R)DirectX(R) 9.0c or higher is required to run this game", which is very strange cuz it looks shitty. But the gameplay is very good.

Yeah, but that not necessarily mean that you have to have a DX9 card. They could just mean that you need to have DirectX 9 installed.
But I know what you mean. It wont make any sense if it does infact need a DX9 card. But the reason I'm asking this is because Onimusha 3 was ported to the PC aswell and had no DX9 elements in it and yet it required a DX9 card...

Yes. The DX9 card is required. It wont run without DX9 card installed.

pc advertising blurb said that the PC version will havea assignment ada (known as "ada the spy" in countries where the res evil series is known as biohazard series) and mercenaries..

personally i am looking forward to completing it,getting mercenaries and unclocking "hunk" umbrella corporation biohazard troop..kinda looks like SAS with gasmask etc

The game does contain a few other episodes after the main game, based on a savegame I found on the Netshow forums.

Uploaded here for easier access.

Works just fine when I tested it, though I'll probably try to complete the normal game first before attempting to use extra stuff like that, still nice to have a save at hand though. (The another order - Ada the spy - Mercenaries - Movie browser)

I actually know exactly what I'm talking about:

Quote:
Min System Requirements:
Supported OS: Windows® 2000/XP (only)
Processor: 1 GHz Pentium® III or AMD Athlon™ (or better)
RAM: 256 MB
Video Card: 128 MB DirectX® 9.0c-compliant AGP or PCI Express graphics card (256 or higher for High Graphics Detail support) (see supported list*)
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compliant (or better)
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c or higher (included on disc)
CD-ROM: 12x or faster CD-ROM
Hard Drive Space: 1.2 GB minimum
Peripherals Supported: Gamepad

http://www.neoseeker.com/Games/Products/PC/residentevil4/

It seems that alot of recent games (especially ports) require DX9 cards minimum in spite of having crappy GFX. Did you know that this Europa 3 game that looks almost like a board game requires a DX9 card?

My question was asked for a reason so stop being a smartass.

You guys know that even though most game require DX9 compatible, they only mean cards with drivers compatible with DX9, not actually the whole shabeng...

?? That was his question i believe. He doesnt have a card that can support DX9 (GF3). And what do you mean by whole shabeng? Isnt it the video card itself?

Yea, but this game needs the whole shabeng, it says so on the requirements (that it needs a DX9 card, not a "whole shabeng").
And Krest, I found this requirements page after KrutojPoc's post. It wouldnt make any sense to post a question that I already know the answer to. (God you're persistant)

The game REQUIRES DX9 card. End of story. And its not because of pretty graphics. Its because DX9 cards have more power and features (like PS 2.0) to help developers port their games faster and easier (read: cheaper)
