During the development of Goblins vs Gnomes, we kept an eye on the state of game balance as more Hearthstone matches were played with the new cards we introduced with Curse of Naxxramas. After careful consideration we have decided to make balance changes to the following cards: Soulfire (Warlock), Gadgetzan Auctioneer (Neutral), and Flare (Hunter)
The following balance changes will be made in an upcoming patch:
Soulfire now costs 1 (up from 0)
Soulfire, along with fast and powerful minions, allowed Warlock rush decks to get ahead on the board and stay ahead. We’ve upped Soulfire’s mana cost by 1 to slow down the Warlock rush deck just a bit and allow more players time to react and interact against the Warlock.
Gadgetzan Auctioneer now costs 6 (up from 5)
Gadgetzan Auctioneer’s ability allows for a player to potentially draw many cards for little cost. Card draw and card advantage are important to the game—overall, games are less interesting when a player draws their entire deck. This change brings Gadgetzan Auctioneer’s cost more in line with its power level.
Flare now costs 2 (up from 1)
Flare allowed the Hunter an advantage versus decks that revolve around Secrets, while also allowing the Hunter to draw a card for little cost. We want to encourage a variety of decks in Hearthstone. With this change, Flare will continue to be useful against decks playing Secrets, but will be weaker against other decks
We will continue to make balance changes to Hearthstone when we feel they are necessary in order to increase the variety of cards seen at all levels of play, with the goal of making Hearthstone a more fun and interactive game for everyone.
And supposed to be live about 15 hours ago
Blizzard having major issues with the expansion and is delaying the EU one without saying a single word.. They removed all messages about before when they said it would be 1 hour downtime at 1a.m. GMT+1 for the expansion.. Now there is nothing to be found anymore and they shut down the EU forums rofl..
Even after so many releases, so many patches, Blizztard still can't get their shit right
~6 hours downtime of b.net last night due to this on NA Sad sad sad

They will never get their "shit right" simply because it would be economically unfeasible to buy a huge volume of extra hardware which would only be used on new release days (a few times per year). This is simply how it has been, is, and will always be for similar massively popular games.
The fact that the U.S. are getting GvG first is unfortunate, but I do think (not sure about this) that Blizzard rotates regions with first releases and Europe got some stuff before the U.S. (was it like that with the new WoW expansion?).
Edit: I'm just browsing the forums while waiting too...
You can't justify it by saying that it would be "economically unfeasible", when the company has a steady income of around ~€123.405.000,- per month from WoW subs alone (i did only take 9.5 million subs tho, to compensate a little for inactive ones). D3 and SC2 don't have any big income anymore atm and believe me that HS gives them a few million a month too with people buying packs.
~3.3 million sales of WoD = ~€148.467.000 alone

You cant calculate "income" like that, even if wow is highly profitable, it is not related to hs income.
Did blizzard even state that they are facing hardware issues in the first place, it might be something else and all extra hardware would do nothing for that
They didn't communicate anything, that's the whole issue.. They just removed all announcements about the patch going live at that time and that's it. Just leaving us in the dark.
And why can't i calculate income like that? Income is income, don't confuse it with profit, it's the same company, no doubt they use that income over all their projects. It's not like they only allow WoW income to be used on WoW stuff, that would just be retarded

So telling your customers that they get the update at 1A.M., then retract it, not say anything for 15 hours and only a single tweet after that that it takes at least another few hours is justified?
How about you piss off back into your dark hole troll

well it's in blizzard's own interest to get their shit together since there's a bunch of customers just waiting with their CC in hand to finally be able to blow a wad of cash on new packs and i could understand the bitching if the servers were down...but they aren't. might as well use the time to grab some classic packs from arena or enjoy laddering before it's full of 90% FOTM mechzoo
Goblins vs Gnomes will soon be unleashed upon Europe! Preparation for its arrival has already begun, and Hearthstone will be undergoing maintenance starting at 9:00 p.m. CET. We expect maintenance to complete within a few hours.
Please keep an eye on this thread for further updates as the launch commences, and we sincerely thank you all for your patience.
20 hours later then their first "promise"
@bushwacka
Why would you do arena now when you still get normal packs from wining?

classic cards. the GVG card pool is rather limited (123 compared to pre-gvg 535 total collectible ones), which means pretty soon you'll have 2+ of every goddamn common/rare. want the shinies? either try your luck or start crafting, but it's irrelevant where the dust comes from. so i might as well complete my "classic" collection while gathering dust - which is far from complete, since i'm raping it fairly regularly to build somewhat competitive decks.
completely shitty paladin arena deck, but got him, loatheb and whateverthefuck that pally card that doubles attack (i know it's bad, but i took it for the lols after i got fel reaver). plan was to turn 4 coin fel reaver, turn 5 loatheb, kill opponent. of course i never got loatheb, but usually saw him disappearing alongside the rest of my deck mass-discarding. which doesn't really hurt when your 11 (8+ 3 from avenge) and sudenly 22 attack minion one-two punches someone in the face. what made it even funnier was the fact that i played on the asia server, which meant loads of chat requests and lots of angry kanjis
(also paid off, 7 wins)

Haha yeah, but i have most of the classic cards already, most competitive decks.. so all that's left for me now is these newer ones. I don't really care for golden cards
