Don't think they found all the stupid about Norway.

This site is lying and not all laws are stupid -
For example (in Israel) -
Quote:
Picking one's nose on the Sabbath is illegal.

That's a law that isn't recognized by the government but by some rabbi who decided it's illegal to pick the nose on Saturdays.
Quote:
The raising of Rotweiller dogs is prohibited.

Apparently a lot of dog owners can't handle their dogs and there have been a lot of incidents here when Rotweiller dogs injured or killed people.
Quote:
Bicycles may not ridden without a license.

Never heard of this one. I ride bicycles and I don't have any license. If I'll call the ministry of transportation and ask them if I can get a bicycles license they will think I'm pranking them.

Quote:
If you have been maintaining an illegal radio station for five or more years, the station becomes legal.

-True and stupid Razz
Quote:
Raising a pig on Israeli soil will result in the murder of said pig.

-Partially true and also stupid.

Though it's a funny site nonetheless. Razz

Not legal to climb trees in Canada.. i mean what the fuck. They want all the kids to became fat Razz

And England, Switzerland and Australia got pretty sick laws too.

And England, Canada and Denmark, should renew some laws once in awhile Razz

Like Give a prisoner a gun and a horse so he can get a ride out of town. You don't see that everyday Laughing

Edit, and the "Not reporting about a dead person" fee in Denmark seems evil. 20 kr is nothing... about 2 dollars and 50 cent.

haha yeah, i remember reading about a guy that died because he ran in the middle of the way to set it up. If i remember right it should be 150 meters from the accident?

Really saved me the other day. 2 cars had crashed just down the road from where i live... usually drive 50-60 kmt in that corner (when its snow)...it was really icy that day... So just around the corner i saw 2 cars had crashed in the right side of the way.. cops parked in the left.

So if you're not some stupid inattentive guy its really helpful. Smile

The warning triangle law is in Finland too, and a Life sentence was 13 years last year. Kill a family of three, get out in 13 years. NEATO.

But that site is too naive, the EU is full of absolutely MINDLESS and HORRIBLE laws.

How about having to pay nearly 300 euros EVERY YEAR for owning a television set, and if you dont the cops will come over and regressively fine you for each year that you've had it illegally (fancy a 5000 euro fine for owning a TV? CAN DO!)

What about the government taking up to 40% of your INHERITAGE in taxes so that you have to sell the apartment, forest or lot that you inherited just to pay the taxes!

And property tax. You're taxed anything between 200 to xxxxx euros every year for owning a home that you bought with your heavily taxed salary.

Equity tax. Pay 30% tax from the rent you get from subletting an apartment or owning an apartment and renting it out.

Value Added Tax. Pay 22% for any goods and 17% for foods. Your PS3 costs 845 dollars instead of 600 thanks to the tax man. You pay 20% income tax and 22% whenever you use it to buy something.

I'm f*****g sick of living here sometimes.

It costs in sweden to own dogs - but I think thats cos there is a problem with people not picking up after their dog (probably other stuff too..). But no fee for having cats (thank god for that)

PFFT......

i bet half of them either fake, or no longer exist.

I live in Austrailia and the rules they have are complete BS, i mean for instances, "A taxi driver has to have a bail of hay in hte back on the cab". I mean you would have to be a complete dipshit to think thats legit.

"Bars are required to stable, water and feed the horses of their patrons" I'd assumed this one was for the 1800's or something, becasue i know for one i quite often ride to the pub on my horse in the heart of melbourne

Ofc they are old - but im sure they are real still. As long as they are real you can still get sentenced due to them. It's not that unusual that old meaningless laws live on - fortunatly most people arent aware of them so it's not very often people go to trial because of these laws.

dont know if this law is still listed or not but lol
Quote:
The English call the Welsh sheep-shaggers due to an old trick used by the Welsh against their gullible English neighbours in medievel times, when the English had a nasty habit of fucking sheep. When Wales adopted English law they noticed the penalty for shagging a sheep was less than stealing one (due to the English's habit) so whenever they were caught stealing a sheep they would instead say they were planning to fuck it instead to avoid the fine.

You want to hear about an annoying tax law?
In Israel you pay 100% taxes for cars. Which means that if an Audi costs 30,000 Euros in Europe, it will cost ~60,000 Euros In Israel.
